I really wanted to love this place because it used to be our favourite Italian restaurant in town but dinner with friends on a... Friday night was just okay. I preferred this place before its expansion when it was smaller and cozier with a handful of tablesand more attentive staff. It would've been nice to be offered more bread, salt, pepper or shaved parmigiano for pasta dishes.Pasta dishes were reasonably priced but you get what you paid for. Sorry CR, but I have to be honest. Read more

First off my server was great and I have no issue with front of house. The back of house however should be taught how to use a... salamander to warm up a plate. It?s just a bizarre thing to not do. I?d expect this at a Boston pizza but not restaurant likethis. I ordered the veal parm and the pasta that came with it was also cold and the sauce was just slapped on top like theycould care less about it being warm or presentable. I?m also not sure what the point of the 6 leaves of plain arugula was for. It?s an odd garnish. I?ve worked in professional kitchens for many years and not sure how the line cook that made this or thestaff working the pass thought it was an acceptable dish. Service was good tho Read more

Wow. I was surprised. I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants. Most are ok. Nothing special. This place was just wonderful.... The food was fantastic, prices were great, and staff were friendly. We ordered a total of 5 different meals and everything waslovely. The Burata and boconcini veal were highlights, as well as the seafood linguine. Will be back again for sure. Read more

The patio was great and the food was good. It felt fresh and not slapped together. It's a different experience then just going... to a chain. That said it's a little slower when busy. The wait staff was working hard but falling behind. If it's lunch you mayneed a bit more time. Read more

Another visit and carbonara was great again. Pizza has a lot of room for improvement. We wanted to try it again but it was again... a bad choice. The dough is dry and hard. The service was really slow. We waited 20 mins to get a drink although a lady who seemsto run the place asked us as soon as we sat down but it was not until a server came to ask that we got our drinks. So probably10 mins between the first interaction and 20 mins more after the second one. The same for the food and the bill. Forever to getour bill and 20 minutes more waiting to pay. They were really busy but I guess bringing the bill and the machine could have beenan option. Something important, please chop the sundried tomatoes for your pizza. You are not supposed to eat a whole sundriedtomato like that. It is salty and it is supposed to add flavour not take over the entire flavour of the pizza. First visit.Thepasta was incredibly good. We ordered carbonara and it was very tasty. The pizza was not great. I would not order it again but Iwould definetely come back for that pasta. The white sangria was delicious but overpriced for sure. Service was ok. They wereextremely busy! Read more

Warm & friendly hospitality and inviting atmosphere where reservations are strongly recommended to ensure you get a spot inside... or on the patio in quaint Belmont Village. Delicious, authentic Italian cuisine that will make Casa your favourite place to eat, drink, and be merry! 10/10 every time. Read more

I brought my grandparents here and I had high hopes for the food and service, and I wasn't disappointed. They ordered the 4 item... pizza, and my mom and I shared the veggiterian cappelini. When we told the waitress that we will be sharing, they separated ourdish before bringing it out and made sure both had the same type of veggies. Both the pasta and pizza tasted great. Even mygrandpa, who's very picky, loved the food. We also ordered two desserts at the end. They both were delicious and not overlysweet. The Tartufo's chocolate shell had small pieces of hazelnut in it, which added to the flavour. We also ordered one 6oz redwine, and one mixed drink. The service was good and our waitress was polite and helpful. We sat inside right by the window, which meant great lighting and made for a cozy yet lovely experience. Our total came to ~$67 before tip. I'd definitelyrecommend this place for anyone who's looking for a good Italian restaurant! Update: the food and service was as great as myvisit 4yrs ago. This time I ordered the special veal ravioli, and it was lip-smacking delicious! Read more

Today was my first experience at Casa rugantino. We had the dinner menu as take out my partner ordered lasagna I ordered a... baked penne. However this is the only time I've ever left a review like this I had to give one star because they gave me nooption other than that you would have got zero Stars today the food was awful there was no flavor whatsoever not even flavor ofsalt or pepper the bun was even stale there was no meat in the lasagna except for one chunk that diameter of a Toonie novegetables at all I am so so utterly disappointed with a $50 meal I cannot believe is that anything could be that bad it washowever I guess the cheesecake we ordered is going to be good because it wasn't from your restaurant. You can also see by thepicture of the penny the baked penne pasta how much I ate of it one bite and I was didn't want to do that Read more
