Simply amazing!! As someone who is always looking to find the best french pastries in a new city, I did not have to look far in... KW to find this gem. Their croissant aux amandes are flakey, soft on the inside, and the perfect amount of sweetness. The painau chocolate is also incredible - great flake, gorgeous layers, and good-quality chocolate. My only critique would be that thesetwo pastries could use just a tidge more filling. While I'll have to check out more local bakeries to see if this one is thebest, they've set the bar pretty darn high. Read more

We finally get to try the famous Golden Hearth. Got 5 pastry items today. The pastry itself is very crunchy but there?s not a... lot of flavours. The filling for the chocolate au pain was pathetic. The only one item that I would come for again is the doublechocolate hazelnut. I would come again for their bread though it?s something we haven?t tried yet. Read more

The best sourdough bread and croissants I have ever had. And very much up there for my wife too. My only complaint is that it's... hard to go during their opening hours... mind doing us a solid and do an extra hour after 6? ???? Read more

An excellent bakery specializing in bread and pastry. I focus my reviews on the pastries. I had 4 pastries: A Croissant, a... chocolate au pain, a blueberry danish and a lemon curd twist. All four pastries were notable for their excellent laminationGolden Hearth specializes in super crunchy flaky pastry and it was the joy of each of the pastries. If I had one critique itwould be that they need to be more generous with the excellent fillings to balance things out. Both the lemon curd twist andblueberry danish had delicious punchy filling, but the filling was confined to such a small part of the pastry that it wassomewhat lost. The croissant was excellent, and the chocolate au pain was my favorite of the four I tried. A few details tonote about the shopping experience: customers do not have access to the store, but order from the front door. I am not sure ifthis is a COVID protocol or is the standard set up of the bakery. The staff were attentive and efficient but it means you shouldexpect a line up outside, which can be a challenge on days with inclement weather. Though both richly deserve their four starratings I inevitably have to compare Golden Hearth to Sabletine in the debate of who makes the best Croissant in town. My votehas to stay with Sabletine whose croissants were just as flakey but also a bit richer. Read more

I love walking here to get a croissant. All of their croissants are really yummy and perfect balance of crunch and softness. You... just order togo standing outside but because the location is good I hope they expand it to be a walk-in with maybe coffee and acouple of small tables. Read more
