Excellent place for food and a great time! We went during Oktoberfest and not only enjoyed a wonderful meal, but the service was... fantastic and the DJ played some awesome mixes. First of all, the jerk chicken fried rice is incredible. Delicious, spicy, flavourful, and a huge portion for the price you pay.... Really awesome vibe and prices and taste. Also, another review says that the hot sauce isn't that hot. It's actually an 8/10hotness so be careful splashing too much on there! Read more

Authentic Guyanese food. This is my spot to take my family. We have been there a few times and always leave satisfied. Food is... always fresh, restaurant is clean and service is on point. We usually have Nivea as our server and she treats my kids very well.I would easily recommend this restaurant to anyone in the kw area. Read more

I and my party ordered the oxtail with white rice and stewed snapper with white rice, plantain and polouri. I wanted rice and... peas with my oxtail but was toldthat it was not available. The stewed snapper did not have much flavor and no sauce/stew toeven put on top the rice. The oxtail was runny and not flavorful. It had a taste that a friend of mind said it seems to havecassareep in it. I am not a fan. The pholourie was bland and rock hard with no flavour. The waitress had it replaced but thereplacement was very doughy. The waitress was apologetic and chalked up the error due to tsaid the cook being new. I have hadpholourie from their Vaugn location in the GTA in the past and it has tasted excellent. Also, the appetizers were made broughtto our table after the main dishes were brought. Appetizers should be brought first before the main dishes. Also, the waitresstook long to attend to our table requests. Asked for more rice and it took forever to bring more. By the time rice came (afterapproximately 25 mins), the oxtail got cold. Bottomline is I don't think I will come back there again. Read more

Shout out to Island Mix on King St W., Went for the first time today and it was delicious! I ordered the Jerk chicken with... chicken fried rice, my brother ordered chicken fried rice & a double to try. In some places I find the fried rice is kind ofdry, this wasn't the case here. The chicken was juicy & flavourful too. My brother said the doubles were great, they already hadtamarind sour in it which we like (so if that's not your thing you should ask to exclude it). The hot sauce was good &flavourful, not very hot though. It was also a lot of food, one plate I found could be two meals. Service was prompt as well!Highly recommend. Read more
