Kitchener has no shortage of coffee shops but Matter of Taste always get my vote. They stayed open during the pandemic and... we're one of the few places i could visit while the streets were empty. Read more

Solid local roastery. Not quite to my personal taste but will be perfect for most people; if you want to experiment with... specialty coffee, this is a great local option. Pastries are also really good, as is the gelato. Very warm and welcomingatmosphere. Oh, and if you've managed to misplace your aeropress filter cap like I did, then they usually have some spares instock. Read more

Well balance espresso, pretty good cappuccino, nitro cold brew was decent, taste was very good, not off balance, but a bit... diluted. Employee needs more training to improve service Read more

Really fantastic coffee roasts. So far I have enjoyed French Mocha, Continental Dark, and South Pacific. They do delivery /... pickup. For online orders, you can customize the grind size if you want them to grind it for you. I?m newish to KW and I?drecommend trying Matter of Taste out if you are looking for good local coffee. Matter of Taste has been a staple cafe in our community. Bringing in community members from all over the region into the... downtown core to connect over their variety of Espresso drinks , in house pastries and ice cream . Walk away with their roastedblends and different coffee making kits from their retail corner. Within easy access to all downtown amenities. The owners andbaristas alike are super welcoming and friendly to new and regular customers alike! 5-stars for the coffee and customer service. Read more

Their coffee is so good I ended up buying a pack of their beans! The one I tasted (and ended up buying a pack) was called... Traveller's and I drank it as a hot americano. I also loved their presentation (how they put much less water than usual like inEurope so the coffee can taste deeper, plus their cup, etc.) making it hands-down my best coffee in Canada! Part of myappreciation might have been due to the sub-par experience (or disgust, more exactly) that I had to endure previously at aMcDonald's (which usually is above average), but who cares. Their coffee was good and I was so happy to be able to sip itsomewhere else than in Europe! Read more
