We went for all you can eat sushi. The food was fresh and delicious. There are lots of options for vegetarians!
very disappointed with this establishment. we fell in love with Ye's in Waterloo and had a great time. we decided to stop at... this Ye's location because we were closer at the time, and it's safe to say we won't be returning. the entire restaurantsmelled very strongly of chlorine (not bleach, chlorine) which I'm assuming were used to clean the tables. booth seats were notcleaned and still had crumbs on them. tables were still sort of sticky. food quality is poor. lots of hot food was brought outcold. "sushi" was 99% rice and 1% fish. the fish was cut very thin, not at all acceptable. poor quality sushi was clearly maderushed & fell apart easily. not worth ~$40 per person. servers delivered food & refilled drinks quickly, which was a plus. butotherwise when our items came out, they were just slung at us without any hospitality, not even an acknowledgement of our"thanks". felt very impersonal and put us off. again, I understand it was busy, but it was still disappointing. worst of all,FLIES. tons of gnats/fruit flies/house flies, whatever were constantly buzzing around & landing on us; our heads, hands, ourdrinks, our food, everything we were touching & eating off of. absolutely disgusting and annoying to constantly be swatting bugsaway the entire night. I couldn't have paid and left faster. lastly, the women's restroom REEKED of sewage. I'm assuming a pipehad burst or something, because it smelled so bad. not sure where the smell originated from. I understand it's a larger issueand couldn't be handled by normal staff, but the restroom should have at least been closed with a sign saying "out of order" orsomething. I hope the tables closest to the restroom didn't gag all night. TLDR: Ye's sushi in Conestoga Waterloo is MUCHbetter; cleaner, quieter, bigger, better food, very friendly staff. don't bother with this location unless you want to beswarmed by flies, eat mostly rice, and smell like chlorine & sewage all night. Did not like most of my order unfortunately. Lots of cucumbers in pieces, very small salmon pieces on the top. The sea weed... salad was filled more than half with lettuce. The rolls did not look very presentable.Will not order it again. Read more
One of the key factors in choosing a sushi restaurant is the quality of their raw fish cuts which will be emphasized when... ordering shashimi. I am happy to say after multiple visits that Ye's can hold their own against other sushi franchises. Greatvariety of maki, nigiri and urimaki. Well worth trying. Read more
The service and quality are starting to really suffer. They keep getting my orders wrong and now half of my roll didn't have... salmon in it. It's one thing of I'm getting Ayce but this is a full price roll. Read more
Very Rude guy! Throwing the dishes ! Very disrespectful! The lady didn?t explain anything about buffet system! We had 3... different sushi?s we didn?t like it. When we went to pay the bill they just charged us 88$. Really ? For 3 plate of sushi ? Andthen he told me it?s buffet system! We were kind of disappointed with this sushi restaurant after practically salivating at the thought of having a meal following... some intense shopping. The idea of placing all the menu items on the iPad was a pretty good idea, but we would have appreciatedit had the prices been posted along side each item. More description on the menu accompanying each item would have been helpfultoo especially given the fact that there appeared to be language issues with the serving personnel. On a positive note, the foodwas delicious, however; the portions appeared to be rather small. Finally, in the serving personnel?s favour, the wait time wasnot long. Read more
Quick takeout even when the dinning room has a line up out the door. Consistently great sushi for a reasonable price. The... restaurant would benefit from using one of their side doors for take out/Uber/skip orders, this would relieve congestion at thefront door. Great work Ye?s keep it up! Read more
