A ME seafood eatery, favorite of weekenders and ME locals alike. Kicked off with two bloodies... Classic for me, ultimate for... my lady. Both a bit on the plain side but mine easily remedied with a heavy touch of Tabasco. Haddock sandwich for my lady.Appropriate sized haddock for a sandwich. Enough to need a take home box. Fish and chips for me, with salad bar and cup ofchowder. Off to a good start,...two servings of fish, two servings tater sauce and malted vinegar at the ready. Right on! Chipswere standard variety fries but no bother, two generous portioned servings of thick crispy battered fish was the star of thisshow. Turns out two tater servings almost not enough! Salad bar was stocked, wide variety, and clean. Chowder (note notchowdah) must have been visiting from NY. Almost broth, not rich and creamy, and a bit sparse on the clams. Wait staff waspleasant, attentive, without being overbearing. Good job, Gabe. Read more

Great service great and the lobster was simply delicious. I don't see salad bars very often and theirs is very good, everything... very fresh. They placed us on a window table so even though it was overcast the view was very nice. We drove from Connecticutfor my wife's birthday. It made for a long day but worth every dollar, can't say penny any more. Read more

Based on reviews, we tried Warren's Lobster House while on a visit up to the Outlet Mall. From the outside, it looks exactly... like what it is: an honest survivor from the 40's. The kind of restaurant that really hasn't changed much in 70+ years. And itdoesn't need to. Inside, it's all wood paneling and Formica, comfortable dining chairs and a super laid-back atmosphere. Themenu is huge, but everything you'd expect is covered. We had clam chowder, which was creamy and rich with big chunks of clam. The salad bar, which they boast about here, was well-stocked with cold, crisp veggies and a ton of pasta salads, potato salad, all the salad trimmings you can think of, and nice cold dressings. I don't think I'd pay the $15 for the salad bar if I wasalso planning on having actual food as well, but it's totally worth it if you want two or three plates of good salad! The saladbar is included with many of the meals here. Which brings me to the seafood: huge portions of flavorful and perfectly- cookedseafood. My wife had a double-stuffed lobster roll that looked like it had more than a pound of lobster meat. My daughter hadlobster Mac and cheese, which was delicious-and had humongous pieces of tail and claw meat mixed in. I had the Captain WarrenPlatter, which had fried whole-belly clams, scallops, haddock, shrimp, and lobster. They were all cooked perfectly, and I havetwo more meals from my leftovers! Don't pass this place by. If you are looking for nostalgia and honest, good food, check themout. The prices are more than reasonable as well. Read more

This place is old school. Only four stars because the ambience gives the vibe of your grandma?s living room that hasn?t been... updated since the 60?s. The food however was amazing. Loved the salad bar and pumpkin bread. The lobster roll was my favorite inMaine - warm, rich and buttery. Service was warm and attentive. Read more

I loved everything; everything was well worth the price=great value. The view was a lot more picturesque than my photo can... convey. I'll be honest, the salad bar would've been enough to leave us both satisfied, and that's coming from a man who doesn'tconsider it a meal if there's no meat. The coleslaw Herr was some of the best I've ever tasted, and definitely the best I'vehad while here in Maine so far. My wife ordered three baked tails, and she wouldn't stop raving about the Ritz cracker crumbleon to baked on top. So, of course, that's been added to my honey-do list of recipes. I ordered the tail and claws, and she wasright about the Ritz by the way. The claws were my favorite part though. They were easy enough to remove from the claws withoutthe cracker. For some context, I have very large hands, and the claw was nearly 3/4 the size of my hand. If we were locals, then I'd make the salad bar a part of my weekly rotation, and through some lobster in every month or so. Read more

We feel like local mom & pop restaurant and this restaurant almost fit what we're looking for. I want to have some veggies with... my food. And the restaurant has salad bar. We got salad bar with our food. Food portions are very generous. As a matter offact, it's more than we can eat. Price wise: I considered the price here very cheap (compared to food prices we pay in WA State- "Yes, I am speaking as a tourist.") ???? For me, I would prefer to have a bit more heavy cream on my Clam Chowder. But lightis good. Fried clams, fried scallops, and "Popcorn Lobster" are very juicy. Yes, we ordered "Captain Warren's Platter" +"Popcorn Lobster" Overall, we love those dishes we ordered. I recommend this restaurant. Read more

Wanted lobster rolls and this place stood up and delivered!!! Got their baked lobster roll and it was beyond phenomenal. Exactly... what I was craving! Their Fried clams were a great addition to my meal and their salad bar is top notch and a reason to checkthem out on its own. I already can't wait to come back next time I'm up this way! Read more
