This place is worth the wait. The buffet was fresh and delicious. They had so many choices and I love seafood. I?m from Maryland... and I saw crabs I?ve never seen before. The bang bang shrimp was my favorite and the hot Apple compote was perfection. Sweet teawas excellent too. Definitely a must go for seafood lovers. Its 55 bucks for all you can eat snow crabs, dungeness crabs and Argentinian king crab and if you get here early the first hour... {there appear to be different specials on different days of the week but on Friday here it was lobster tails} they also serveunlimited lobster tails. The quality of the seafood is very good nothing is overfooked. This is definitely a good deal for themoney if you go through the crab. I don't know if the rest of the buffet is up to par but you can get your money's worth ifyou're in the crab. I assume the way this place works is the tire families come and the rest of the family probably doesn't eattheir money's worth and they make it up, so it all works out and this is great for someone if you're a crab lover and can get achance to actually eat king crab and lobster for a modest price. drove 2.5 hours today because friends had told me it was good. They were wrong, it was absolutely great, food and service were... excellent. Not to often I can say that about a restaurant but this one I can. Thanks made the long drive worth it. Stafffriendly, server was, I believe Joana, was not hovering over us but also never let us have to wait for drinks or lobster. Buffetline was kept clean and food filled. My family was sooooo upset Imade them wait for Thursday evening of our recent trip to eat at Jimmy's. Let me just say, they... are already BEGGING to return to Nags Head just for JIMMY'S, even my mother in law!!! The entire experience, from booking sloton the waitlist which is a MUST, food, atmosphere, and service it was well worth the cost. Its been a VERY LONG time since wehave spent that kind of money, but was worth EVERY bite. The buffet has everything you will need to get you seafood fix......myvice is crab legs and lobster, i made sure I picked an evening when lobster was included on the buffet. The crab legs andlobster tails were so good but the crawfish were sooooo succulent, plump and just the right amount if seasoning. The salad barwas fresh with nice selection of options. The alternate american style buffet had a lot of choices to feed even the pickiestif eaters. The loaded potatoe casserole and hushpuppies were so good, I would love the recipe. Our male server wasEXCEPTIONAL, I apologize I lost receipt with his name, visited 4/21 around 4:15pm, large party of 7. He was very attentive anddefinitely excelled at customer service. Overall, this was a reasonably good experience. The variety of food on the buffet was amazing and the food was very good. This... is a seafood lover's paradise. Two negatives... we ended up waiting an extra 45 minutes because the hostess was dialing thewrong number to tell us our table was ready. Also, our server failed to mention that we could order from a menu rather thanhaving the buffet. All in all, though, we enjoyed our first visit. Also you CAN call ahead to get on the waiting list. From Syracuse NY here for the first time. We read about Jimmys for months before coming to OBX. We arrived at 3:30 with party... of 9. Waited in line till 4: when they opened. Got right in and seated. Wide variety of seafood and regular food. Everything wasvery good. Waitress was outstanding, always there when we needed her. Very minor complaint but, I really wanted t-shirt but theydidn?t have any in 2 or 3 XL. Free advertising when people wear your shirts. Read more
