Flavor was great, but the only thing on my plate that was really hot was the beans. Everything else was barely warm. Got meat... trio. Even tho flavor was good, meat was dry - even the ribs. Waiter was great. I wanted 1/2 smoked chicken, but it was alreadygone at 5:00 on a Saturday. It wasn?t available until 4:30. So????? Read more
The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Our glasses were always full. The cheese curds and onion straws were really good. We... had the 3 meat trio dinner. And the meat was good. Fantastic BBQ joint. Ordered half rack of their ribs...they fell right off the bone and had the perfect amount of smoked flavor.... 3 different spice levels on the house sauces. Full bar with dozen or so beer on tap. Sports and rock decor and memorabiliaabound...Chicago and Notre Dame. Live music on designated nights with some big local acts as well as a few still-touring 80'sHair Band acts. If you see proprietor Tommy hanging out buy him a beer...interesting guy. Very good, great staff. I had ribs, cheesy potatoes and onion shreads, all very good. This place trys to be a bbq smokehouse... and a sports bar at the same time. Might be great for some but must admit I'm not a fan of the mix. A bit on the pricey side. Read more
Lunch about 230 on a Friday, not many customers. Didnt look at the menu, just ordered pulled pork sandwich and onion strings... and a coke. The bbq is well-made, and i didnt try the sauce on the table, as im a purist about bbq. Servings werent skimpy, bunwas fresh, onion strings nicely done and hot when served. The place has a room for catering. Men's room clean. Seating forsbout a hundred inside. There's outside seating as well, with a music stage area. Inside tables spaced apart for covid. Read more
To bad they didn't put the effort into their food that they did with decorating. Arrived about 12:45 on a Wednesday. Ordered... Pulled pork and fries, pulled pork and onion straws. The best thing I can say is the frozen fries were good. Both sandwicheswere cold and slimey. The waitress who was very friendly immediately went to get us two new sandwiches. She said the cookwarmed these on the grill instead of the steam table. They were warm is the best i can about the sandwiches. The wife got onionstraws. They must have also come from the steam table. Inedible. I asked for the BBQ. The waitress pointed at the singleunmarked squeeze bottle on the table. Some kind of vinegar based liquid. We drove an hour to try this place. Really wanted itto be good. Very disappointing. The place looks awesome. It would be a good place to open a BBQ restaurant. We go on BBQvacations. Texas to NC, Mississippi to Chicago.
