Great staff and service. The chutney and onions they bring out are amazing. I heard good things and really wanted to try this... place. The korma was delicious, but the giant chunks of chicken did not taste like they were cooked in the korma. They were alsobland and a little tough. The chicken tasted like it was just tossed in at the last minute. Read more

This is my favorite ?go-to? place in town. This is a charming comfortable atmosphere with great staff. The food is always... delicious and the menu explains enough about the dishes that a first time visitor or someone not familiar with Indian cuisinewon?t feel daunted. Try the Samosa Chat, it?s a bowl full of Mumbai street food goodness. You won?t be disappointed. Read more

I would love to give Aroma a higher score but my order of lamb Korma contained only about 6 small pieces of lamb and the rest of... the HUGE bowl was just lots and lots of curry, almost like a soup. I had to go searching for more pieces of meat, only to bedisappointed that there were none to be found. The taste was good but I did not order soup. The lamb should be the star of theshow and should provide a diner with a fair amount of protein, especially for the price. Instead I had to fill my belly up withnaan, which was good on the pallets but bad on the diet. The spice level was quite mild even though I ordered medium. Theserver who came right over when I first sat down, ended up forgetting that I existed and I finally had to flag someone down. Asfar as Indian restaurants...I've been to many, this one is by far not one of my favorites. Read more

I should probably start with noting that I do not care for Indian food. I have tried and tried and it never really took. Until... I came to Aroma. The name fits - it smells amazing as you walk in and everything I have tried was delish and flavorful! Iespecially love the Lamb Korma (reminds me of a Thai curry) and the Peshwari Naan (flat bread filled with sweet coconut andcashew spread). The Goat Pepper Fry is probably the best goat I have EVER tasted. My hubs enjoyed the grilled platter andtopping it off with the 1947 Indian Lager was the perfect touch for a summer meal. I HIGHLY recommend this place and willreturn every chance I get! Read more

I was driving by the city and picked up dinner. 5* for the aroma and 3 * for the taste. The food looked good yet the taste was... average. Kebabs were really good, but biryanis and curries tasted all the same(sweeter). I would categorize as an americanindian restaurents. Read more

I LOVE Aroma! They are the only Indian restaurant in the Knoxville area that offers samosa chaat. The dish was the perfect... balance of flaky and soft. My husband ordered the kebabs and despite being born in the Indian subcontinent (and accustomed tospicy food) he was surprised at the heat (in a good way!). I highly recommend Aroma for authentic and fresh Indian cuisineserved in a clean and welcoming environment. I?d also like to thank the staff for their gracious and sincere service. We willreturn! ?? 6/10 overall. Servers were nice and welcoming 4/10 on food. Served stale food. We went for dinner. The rice was leftover from... the lunch buffet. The chicken korma was stale? they brought all the food within minutes; they prolly reheat those food frombuffet. Liked the meat platter (except the stale smelling lamb or something). I assume the buffet would be nice. Dinner was nogood. Read more
