This location was suggested to us as a stop for a day-trip date. The food was pretty good, but we ordered some special items... that just didn?t live up to the hype. Like many specialist burger places, they put too much stock in some element (like theirspecial bread) and if it falls flat it detracts from the whole experience. Great burger stop in downtown Knoxville on the square. Fabulous customer service. Great root beer. We had the Steakhouse & Black... & Bleu burgers. Both tasty. The medium was a little over cooked & could have used more of the fondue sauce, but the bacon &blackened seasoning provided plenty of flavor. Great onion rings & fries. The pimento dip was very good, although we'd havepreferred it without the sweet tomato part. Would definitely go back to try some other burgers. So many great choices! Read more
Located in Market Square in downtown Knoxville, TN. We hard a large group and not only did the staff accommodate but they also... provided excellent customer service. The farmhouse burger was amazing but we had a couple people in our group order their burgermedium and it was not cooked to their preference; however, when they make a mistake they made it right, which is what keepscustomers coming back. Several people stated that this was the best burger they've eaten. The artwork on the walls were from alocal artist/former employee. The Darryl Strawberry pictured was amazing! We arrived tonight before a show we were going to at the Tennessee Theatre and they said the wait was 15-30 minutes unless we... wanted to sit at the bar. Fortunately there were 2 seats at the bar so we were able to be seated quickly. We ordered shortlyafterward and got our food within a reasonable time frame. I ordered the Shroom Burger and my husband got the Steakhouseburger. I got the onion rings and he got fries. You get like 5 onion rings and a ginormous pile of fries when you order themas the side. We ate our burgers and the onion rings and less than half of the fries. We both ordered our burgers medium butrealized we should have ordered them medium well since they actually were medium. Ha. Usually we order the lesser optionbecause most places over cook their meat. It was good and the bartenders were nice and service was pretty quick. Read more
Wow! We had heard great things about Stock & Barrel and they were all true. The classic bacon burger was one of the best I?ve... ever had. The duck fries were a nice appetizer. The onion rings are outstanding. You won?t leave hungry. I don?t drink but thewall off whisky was impressive. Great service, fun atmosphere. We?ll be back! Read more
Great place to eat!! Excellent selection of bourbons and delicious burgers made with fresh local ingredients. I had the Black... and Blue with fries and my wife had the 'Merican with onion rings. Both were cooked perfectly and the sides were hot and notgreasy. Definitely a must for us every time we come to Knoxville!! Read more
A truly awesome spot for burgers and more. A lovely little spot with a delicious variety of burgers. I had a the farmhouse and... fried pickles as a appetizer. Very tasty burger, you can tell this was a freshly made burger, the fried pickles were some of thebest I ever had. The burger was massive and the portion of fries was a good amount, didn?t finish them all. Best of all it wasvery well priced for such delicious food. * Update: We got sick after we ate here. A modern date-night atmosphere. The space is small, but with a group of four or less... it would feel cozy. We ordered the duck fat fries as an appetizer. You get a good serving. They were perfectly crispy, and thesauce they're served with is amazing. I wanted to put it on all of my food. We ordered the bison and farmhouse burger. Bothwere flavorful and delicious, but super messy. Ask for extra napkins. My husband got the mac and cheese as a side. He said itwas really good. I got the onion rings. They were perfectly crispy, but needed a dipping sauce. I should have asked for somesauce from the duck fat fries. I will 100% be back. I think for a date night. Read more
