The restaurant terrace has spectacular views probably one of the best on Maui. This is a must see if you're visiting and the... locals know it too. Food is excellent and highly recommend the fish sandwich. Under new ownership and you can definitely seethings are changing for the better. Read more
Stayed two night to be close to Haleakala. Road noise kept us awake or woke us up several times. Ants in the room. Black mold on... the shower curtain. Can hear the people in the room next door talking, showering, using the toilet. Check-in was an envelopetaped to a door with a key in it. Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, if you want food after 2 pm you better be preparedto drive 10-20 minutes. Stains on the carpet. The finish on the wood trim and furniture is flaking off. I’m for “rustic”but for $300+ a night this place is a huge rip off and should at least feel clean. Read more

We dined here for lunch. Beautiful cottage decor and ambience, breath-taking views, equally charming outdoor seating space on a... terraced multilevel yard with quaint cobbled paving with red brick and beautiful gardens, and featuring a wood-fired oven - thereal deal - where their pizzas are baked. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and efficient, and their pianist FrancoisKie playing some brilliant jazz and romantic melodies from the 60s and 70s was the high point. This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been stayinghere for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be let down. With new owners recently, I was excited to try the breakfast. However was a bit disappointed. 1. They need coffee mugs and an... espresso machine. Right now they only have paper cups and regular (not good) coffee. 2. Cushions on the outside patio boothscement would be nice 3. The food is all pretty basic and small portions for how expensive.
