Food was ok and fair priced service great.
Good food, but I got lousy service. The young blond waitress was more interested in her phone than she was waiting on me. She... finally asked me if I wanted a refill after about 5 minutes of having an empty glass, never asked how the food was, and didn'task if I wanted dessert. They were slow, so no excuse. When I went to pay the bill, I saw the desserts and decided I would getone. The girl acted like she was offended when I left her a dollar on $22. I tipped her on the meal, $16.50, not the dessertsince she didn't offer it to me. Had she served me better, she would have gotten 20-25% of the entire bill. We stop in this diner every chance we get. Always friendly, clean, and fast. Food is down home delicious and their assortment of... desserts make it very hard to choose just one. By far one of the best hometown diners in the u.s. We are truck drivers so we'vebeen to a lot of them. Read more

Great sit down restaurant w good staff and food I had the gyro
A++! I definitely recommend a visit to NSD, and although I'm still not happy Advance Auto Parts turned me away for being too... early, I am very happy about my lunch here while I wait. I had a diet Coke to start with, and must say that while otherrestaurants are shrinking the portions, that doesn't appear to be the case here. In fact, quite the opposite! Now, the Frenchonion soup was served hot as the sun in a standard sized crock with a handle built in (spin the serving plate, do NOT touch thehandle at first!), and it was quite nice. The provolone was gooey in the center with a light crust on the edge. The bread,onions and soup were just as you'd expect them to be with a hint more seasoning involved so you could describe it any way exceptbland, because it was not. Good to the last drop, which I tipped the bowl to get after it had cooled a bit. The open facedturkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and yellow gravy was very tasty, and if your stomach is sensitive to seasonings and hotflavorings you can feel confident ordering this. Your stomach will thank you! Temperature-wise, it was served hot enough but nottoo much, and the portion size filled my plate. If you're just looking for a comfort food meal that's not going to rock the boatfor sensitive stomachs and tender tummies, this will be a good choice for you. The service at the counter was good, and theyhad MacGyver on the TV above the pass-thru from the kitchen, so you'll forget about any of the short to normal wait times foryour food items. If I had to give one negative about the place just to prove I'm not an employee or a paid sponsor, I'd saythat today, June 30, 2022, it was a bit warmer inside than I expected. Hot near a kitchen? Go figure, right?!! Maybe the ACwasn't turned on? Maybe it's acting up? All in all it's not a deal breaker. Stop in and grab a bite to eat. Food was great! However, the restroom was completely disgusting!!!! There is an apron hanging over the urinal for some reason,... the toilet plunger was covered in feces, there was a bucket beside the commode that someone had urinated in, and the trash canwas FULL of toilet paper where people have been wiping their rear ends and throwing it in the garbage. I would much rather havehad access to a porta-potty, it would have been much cleaner. Sad part is I see on here that 3 months ago someone has had thesame issues and the restaurant owner even replied to it.... but of course nothing has been done. You never know what you're gonna find when you travel. I'm glad I found this place. Friendly folks. Good food. The chicken... fingers were nice and crispy. I decided to come back the next morning for breakfast. It sure beat having whatever my hotel wasdoing for 'breakfast.' Read more
