If I could review employees separately, I would. The manage seemed to be trying his best to manage 3 other employees who either... could not care enough to do their job, or genuinely did not know how to do it. We ordered at 11:55 am, did not receive our fooduntil 12:30, and had to check on the two smoothies we ordered twice. We did not receive our smoothies until about 50 mins afterordering, and the girl who made them threw the straw on the counter and made a face at us. It wasn't until we got home that Ialso noticed they did not give me the jerk chicken wrap I ordered, but one of their flatbread sandwiches. Would not recommendunless you want to be waiting for an hour, get attitude from the staff, and get the wrong order. Read more
Had high expectations since this was a new location. We ordered our smoothies and food and as we were about to pay we were told... it would take 30-40 mins just to get our 2 smoothies and food item. We canceled our order which also had a rewards coupon for afree smoothie that is no longer available now. Extremely disappointed with the service. Never again go to locations in Austin orelsewhere. The sides were a total fail. The kale Apple salad came in a 4 oz container with no lid and was only half full plus the side of... sweet potatoes seemed like they were rotting. The wrap was good but smaller than at other Tropical Smoothie Cafes. Felt likethey're skimping a little much. ???? Read more
Price of food is very affordable , the few menu items I have tried are very enjoyable. Only drawback I have noticed is they did... not have a full selection of the advertised supplemental add-ins for the smoothies, however given supply shortages nationallyand the store is only a few weeks in operation at this time, its understandable. Normal menu items are customizable and whenreceiving my order the different items were labeled... bless they were labeled, many places nearby do not label the food, itssimply put in the bag and you have to open each item to find the right one. This location sucks. Service needs major improvements. I placed a curbside order and it said it was ready. Once I arrived at the... location, I had to come in and I was told to wait an additional 20+ mins. Oh yeah, I was not greeted either. Employees, inuniform, were hanging out with their friends at the tables and then went back to work without washing their hands. Not tomention the counter was disgusting. We were actually excited to go here for the first time. Never again will we go back. I paid 9.00 for a salad that is smaller... than a side salad any other place. Has literally two slithers of chicken that one piece was hard as a rock. Soon as I bit intoit I spit it back out because it was so hard not even lying. I read a lot of negative reviews about the food quality and staffing attitudes but thankfully I didn't seem to get the attitude... and or lack of food today. I just moved to Kyle from Plano where I would have Tropical Smoothie pretty often. So, I already knowwhat I like. Today I ordered on the app for curbside asap. After I placed my order I realized I submitted my order right at12:30pm. So I prepared myself to wait really long. A long line wrapped around the building so I could not actually park forcurbside in the front. I went in and a few people were waiting. My order wasn't ready but they did tell me it was being workedon. My smoothie was made within a minute of me waiting and given to me immediately. Staff did seem a little frazzled but it waslunch rush with only 4 employees total that I could see. I got my food about 2 minutes after my smoothie and checked my order.The buffalo chicken wrap was fine, my salad looked fine, and drink was good. When I got home I did notice there wasn't as muchdressing for my salad as I thought. I read the salads were itty bitty, but mine was a lot. The picture doesn't do justice of howmuch is actually in the bowl. I do wish there was more chicken but I'm sure I would have not eaten all of it had there beenmore. My mother in law said her buffalo chicken wrap was really good. I'm glad we didn't have the experience others had, andmaybe that's just training in progress there. I will continue to visit more often and hopefully it will get better for everyoneelse. Oh and ask for more dressing on the side if you get salads for now. Read more
