Came by to have dinner and from the service to food to timeliness were very speedy. The house special pho was delicious and... light and came with the option of condiments on the side and vegetables. The eggrolls with the pink sauce was tasty too. I loveeating Thai style papaya and by far this dish was very good. I did a 3 spice for the papaya and thought it was still spicy butvery yummy. I would highly recommend people coming here for the asian cuisine. Give it a try you will enjoy it. Money I spentthere was around $20-30/ person. Read more

3/18/2022. My wife and I came to visit La Crosse to see Grandad Bluff and other stuff. Decided to eat at Golden Egg Rolls. Nice... little place. When we got here, it was busy, they only had 2 servers/waiters but they both did great considering how busy theywere. We order 2 Egg Rolls, Pho, and Pad Lad Nad. The egg rolls was okay, not bad, but nothing special about it. It was freshand crunchy. From the photo, the sauce looks red, but in person, it actually has a pink hue to it, which reminds me of peptobismal pink. The sauce isn't your typical egg roll sauce. It looks like a sweet and sour sauce, but to me it tasted bland with aafter spice taste. You'll have to try it for yourself. The pho was nothing special, just a regular very light pho broth taste,nothing flavorful, it wasn't bad or good. The only thing was they do not have enough pho condiments at the tables for all thetables. After I was done using mines, they came and ask to take the ones on my table to give to the other tables. There isn'tmuch table condiments to add to the pho(fried garlic, beef flavor paste, chili oil, hoisin sauce, siracha sauce). I've neverbeen to a pho place that has beef flavor paste. My wife had the Pad Lad Nad. From the menu, it says dark brown peanut sauce, butthe sauce looks lighter in color and there seems to be no peanut in it. Overall nice little place, service was great, food wasokay, it fills your belly. I say the best food was the small seasame balls they were selling at the counter. Read more
