We drove 30 minutes to come try this new restaurant. We made reservations at 6:30 and called to say we were arriving a bit late.... They closed at 7 and the staff still made us feel very welcomed and not rushed at all. Our server was very knowledgeable andstill coursed our entire meal. Caesar salad was perfectly tossed and not drenched with dressing. The carbonara was amazing andthe pasta tasted fresh. Finally, our pizza was the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. We hosted a baby shower for my SIL here and it was so amazing. The staff was great, the owner was super to work with, and the... food was amazing. We had a mimosa/Bellini bar which was perfect for the ladies. The wood fired pizzas were so good, everyoneraved abut them. The decor in the restaurant was so cute that we didn't have to add too much for our baby decorations. I wouldhighly recommend GP Italiano for dinner or to host an event. Read more
Hands down BEST Italian in the Chicagoland area! All homemade bread, dough and pastas. You will not leave disappointed
Really delicious food in a cool open concept space. Great cocktails/wine list. The pizza out of the wood fired oven was... delicious. The dough is fermented for four days. It makes the crust super delicate.l and light. All pastas are homemade andreally well done. Be sure to save room for dessert! I will be back. Read more
The burrata ravioli with the vodka cream sauce was amazing. They have a good size list of wine, ordered by light to full bodied,... and 8 to 10 specialty cocktails listed. Service was efficient, friendly, and fast. Can't wait to go back to try a brick ovenpizza or entree! Read more
Not sure how my experience was so different unless previous reviewers are family of owner. Pastas were gummy and sauces were... disappointing. Could not find the sausage in my sausage pasta dish.
