Went there for a couple of appetizers and a drink. We ordered the ?marinaded beef jerky? and the ?pretzel bites? both apps were... over $12 average price point but this beef jerky was terrible. Unedible. We offered pieces to both the patrons sitting next tous and they both had the same conclusion, cardboard. So after getting a terrible first app we got the pretzel knots. We paid $12to get 7-8 pretzels doused in oil to the point the cheese dip wouldn?t even stick. Told the bar tender about the problems withthe jerky she proceeded to tell me I know about how jerky is made. Pretty rude and condescending. Overall not a pleasantexperience. Food very mediocre and service was very unprofessional. I hate to write bad reviews but this was just over the topbad service and appetizers were inedible and our server had no problem defending the chef and not asking us if we wanted adifferent option. Excellent service, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The burger patty reminds me of my mom?s homemade burgers. Patties... are seasoned with salt and pepper, and even though I ordered mine well done, the patty was juicy. They have delicious cheesecurds; I?d order these two items again. I would not order their Moscow mule. It tastes like low-quality ginger beer. I thought Iwas drinking carbonated water and vodka. It could?ve used more ginger and lime. Our seat section was uncomfortable due to thewarm temperature. I chose to eat inside to cool off, but I think I would?ve been better off sitting outside. Read more
Monk?s is great! Very casual vibe, large selection of beers/drinks and food and plenty of big screen TVs above the bar. I would... say probably half the tables are low and half are high-top, and they have a great looking outdoor patio out front as well! Cute atmosphere and open space, the bar is the centerpiece of this place! Immediately felt ?at home?. House Bloody Mary was... great- not too fancy and not overdone. Just perfect. The sirloin jerky was awesome and you get a lot for the price. Orderedburgers - they were okay, little overdone. If they had been medium rare they would be have amazing. Sweet potato fries wereperfectly cooked and light! We will go back and see what else we can try! We didn?t order any of the shots- but loved the ideaof showing these on the menu! Hey man- nice shot! Guys! This place is absolutely amazing! Food is super good! Service was amazing as well!! But the item that will have me going... back for is their Cheese Curds and most importantly their Boozy Shakes! Never In my life have I had a boozy shake! Amazing! Went here for lunch on a cold Saturday afternoon. I CANNOT stress enough how incredibly DELICIOUS these burgers are. My husband... got a brisket burger and I got the Monk burger with truffle fries. We eat a lot of food and I must say, these sandwiches havemoved into my top ten! The bacon jam is phenomenal and adds such dimension to the burgers. If you decide to go here, go aheadand upgrade to the truffle fries... You will not regret it. Read more
