Wherever I go I always look for the best cup of coffee. Elixir coffee in La Jolla, southern California is one of the best cups... of coffee I have had. They also have gluten free donuts which is brilliant for people who are celiac as not many cafes cater topeople with celiac desease. Its good to know a relative can now get both a good coffee and a sweet nibble in one place. Read more

I wasn?t ???? percent impressed by this place. Hence, 3/5 stars ??. Unfortunately, I don?t think the coffee drinks were... fantastic but simply just okay. They had good reviews and not complicated to locate in La Jolla. It is walking distance from thebeach! ????????????? The biscottis were probably the highlight of the experience. Indoor and outdoor seating available.??????Seasonal and sweet drinks available. Read more

Coffee shop has the location and services just the coffee is a little light and to go cup and lid doesn?t fit, so it spilled on... our way out ... ordered Americano ice is almost half. Is exactly something what you expect at the tourist place. Read more

Unbelievable coffee. Gluten free and vegan options for donuts and other delicacies that somehow taste even better than the... ?real? thing. Friendly staff. Comfortable atmosphere. This is the perfect place to get coffee. Read more

Came by on a Sunday afternoon after noticing the sign while we were walking around. Nice courtyard area. Got a cup of oat mocha... and a bag of beans. Mocha was good but the choco sauce was concentrated on the bottom so it got sweeter over time. The espressoshot in it was spot on though. Beans are dark and strong. I was assured they were fresh because there was no roast date on thebag. Crepes must be popular as I saw multiple of them being served while I was sitting. I still remember the little kid at atable shouting "these are the best Nutella pancakes I have ever had!" :) Read more

Cool coffee shop in a great location. ordered 3 drinks: double espresso, skim latte and soy latte. Espresso was dark and smooth... with nice crema - 5 stars. Both cafe latte drinks were not up to the same standard - 3 stars... so we'll split the difference atfour stars. Read more

We came to Elixir looking for a coffee shop to get some studying down in a relaxing environment. Upon entry, Elixir in La Jolla... has 4 small tables and one longer table. If you are by yourself, the single tables should be fine for one laptop and a smallnotebook. For two or more people trying to study, though, the longer table is necessary. We ordered the house drip coffee witha splash of almond milk and an iced latte. Both were delicious and went great with the mid-60s weather. We re-ordered these forthe second half of our stay. The employees were nice and let us stay for awhile without making us feel awkward. It wasn't verycrowded so that might have played into it. The location is a bit hidden away, so the views weren't great. And some of theledges were dusty and dirty. Bathrooms are not in the unit so you need to visit a shared bathroom that is part of themarketplace. Overall, a good experience and is a good place to spend an hour or two. I wouldn't recommend this place for a datenor to being your grandmother, but the coffee is good which is the most important part. Read more
