Great location - bad food! Everything had zero taste and zero flavor. By far the worst Japanese restaurant and it?s sad cause it... could have potential. Asked for a side of noodles for my toddler and ask for full flavor and veggies and was presented with acup of boiled udon noodles? definitely put off! Kids love this place. We really enjoy sitting out on the sidewalk and watching the world go by. Their sushi is really delicious.... They are in the heart of La Mesa Village. Everyone is very friendly. Read more
They have happy hour til 7pm on weekdays! The outside tables are a nice spot to people watch on la mesa Blvd. I really like the... gigi roll that has tempura asparagus in it, love the crunch. They also have a great beer selection on tap. Read more

My personal favorites include the Super Crunchy Roll (crab,... shrimp, avocado); Sunny Deluxe Roll (spicy tuna, shrimp avocado, topped with salmon); and the bright & colorful Zilla Roll(spicy tuna & cucumber alternately topped with salmon, spicy salmon, & avocado with a mild jalapeño sauce). And, wonderfullight appetizers! -- They also feature a Happy Hour sushi menu and drink menu, with happy hour pricing -- Try the GingerMartinis made of Ketel One vodka, fresh ginger, with a splash of lime juice & Alchemy ginger syrup! Their sushi is so good and the portions are perfect given the price! It only takes 2 rolls to feel absolutely stuffed. Their... ramen with pork or chicken is very good too. It's not as good as other ramen-specializing restaurants but if you're looking forramen in La Mesa it's definitely a good contender. They also have very cheap well drinks during happy hour! Read more
