Had the Rigitoni Bolognese and stuffed mushrooms and it was delicious! Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before given... the many times I've had their food. A hidden gem in La Mesa. A true dining experience that feels like you are with family. Not rushed. Not loud. And actually... enjoyable! You can hear Frank Sinatra playing while enjoying some of their great wines and homemade Italian dishes. The Alfredois the BEST and the specials are unique and made to order. Fresh and delicious! Went to Nonno's with the family and had an enjoyable time. The steak sinatra and bruschetta were delicious. We were also happy... with the dean martin (pictured below). However, we wouldn't recommend the chicken piccata. Read more

Great find. Small, long standing, unassuming, family owned Italian restaurant. Great service, excellent food, all freshly made... in house. The place is small though with very few tables, so best to call ahead and reserve a table. By the way...I'm born andraised in Brooklyn. This is good Italian food!!! Read more

Excellent little hole in the wall place. Food was amazing, great wine list selection. Lisa was our server and knew everyone?s... names so there?s lots of regulars which is always a great sign. She asked what my boyfriend and I?s names are so she wouldremember to really make a welcoming personable experience. Even offered a complimentary appetizer next time we come in! Read more
