We have been coming to this restaurant for little over a yr now. It's a great place to come have lunch which is what I like to... come in for. Service is great the staff is very friendly. Lunch prices are really good and the portions are big. It's not toocrowded. I have been here for dinner as well and can get busy at times. You can never go wrong on the lunch menu. I have triedatleast 3 of the dishes and they are all great. Another plus are the peanuts!. They have a good drinks selections. TRY THECHEESE BREAD!!!.. Read more

Service was great. Big restaurant. Extremely busy on Father’s Day. We had a reservation (checked in and seated within... 10mins). My my steak was not delicious. I've seen this place from the 5 fwy forever, just so happens we celebrated my Mother n law's 80th birthday here and was... pleasantly surprised. The addicting garlic toast along with tge mouth watering steak makes this place a favorite of mine. I willbe back for sure. Read more

Met my hubby for lunch and he took me here. It’s a very unique looking building. Log cabin with white roof, dark inside with... lots of tables, free peanuts and sawdust on the floor. Very spacious and cool looking inside. The waitress was very attentiveand brought us our peanuts and took our orders quickly. Drinks came out fast and she even refilled my Coke Zero without mehaving to ask. Knowing we were having chicken for dinner, I stayed away from my typical order of a grilled chicken sandwich.What can I say, I’m a creature of habit. I ordered a classic cheeseburger, medium rare, hubby got the open face steak sandwichmedium rare. While we were waiting the hostess tried to seat a couple of 2 at a table that was previously occupied. Dirtydishes and their paid bill was still sitting on the table. They asked if the table could be wiped down and the hostess repliedit already was. There were plenty of other open tables so they just moved, since she gave them attitude. Why sit them at a dirtytable when others were wide open. Deduct a star for that! Our meals came and the open faced steak sandwich looked a bitpathetic. Completely over cooked. It was more well done than anything. My cheeseburger looked amazing. Unfortunately it too wasover cooked, making it extremely dry. I would have liked it a bit more juicy. Waitress forgot my dressing for my fries butit’s ok since they don’t have ranch, only blue cheese house dressing. Not a blue cheese fan so better that it didn’tcome. Our family has been eating at Northwoods in for 50 years but this is only the second time I ate at this one in la Mirada.... Service was excellent. Food was good. Our waitress gave us another order of bread to take home with us. I'm sure I'll go back. Read more

My partner took me here on a date. It was great. Don't underestimate their portions. Pretty big. The food was great. Cozy... ambiance, and really nice staff. Shout out to our waiter. I strongly recommend making reservations. As soon as my entire party arrived, I was seated within 5 mins. I ordered the fried... calamari & a 16 oz medium rib eye steak. Both were delicious!
