Grew up in Lake Station. Where JJ's originally started. Hands down best pizza. LaPorte may have same ingredients but something... is missing. Love for the pie? Still beats Dominos. Read more

My 2nd time ordering from them the 1st was an Xl thick crust supreme pizza I wouldn?t recommend thick crust ( it was like a... double dough) this time i ordered an Xl sausage and pepperoni thin crust (well done) and it was so yummy and tasty perfectlycooked and delivered on time glad I gave them a 2nd chance i will definitely order again my only problem was the personanswering the phone she was a bit rude and I felt i was bothering her by ordering ( but I?ll overlooked it cause the man whotook my order the 1st time was super helpful even gave me free delivery) Read more

Dingy old bar thay sells a knock off version of the JJs pizza expierence all of us die hard NWI people love. Lacking some of... the normal menu items. Employees seem to mostly all be unmitigated and less than enthused to be at work let alone "deal" withguests. Pizza is pretty okay, something just seems off compared to the other locations. We ordered from JJ pizza shack laporte becase we never tried it before and we like the one in Michigan city... ordered 2 pasta... dinners and they were horrible...the pasta sauce was NOT pasta sauce but a mix of tomato PASTE and pizza SAUCE, it was so acidicand thick we had to scrape it off. There were meat crumbles that were actually pizza sausage and the meatballs were also pizzasausage made into balls. If you don't want to or know how to make pasta the right way then don't offer it! I gave two starsbecause the SARA LEE PECAN PIE WAS GOOD... We won't be going back. Read more

I've lived in laporte for 15 years and have never been here. Decided I wanted to give them a try, so I looked up the hours. This... was 7pm last night. Google said they closed at 8. Couldnt find any full menu online to call in the order so we drive halfwayacross town, and walked in those doors at 7:33pm. The lady cleaning the dining room had an instant vibe that we were unwanted. Irealize it was close to closing time, so we planned and told them we were going to order to go. The guy looks at the lady andback at us and says "I'm sorry, I just shut off our phones because we were not taking any more orders" their neon open sign waslit up outside as well. Someone else said, it's been one of those slow kind of nights. Maybe it's just me, but my money is asvaluable as the next guys and to be turned away like we were, almost 30 minutes before their close time was pretty rude andquite unprofessional. Unfortunately I will not be back, nor will we ever try this pizza location in laporte. Albanos was openand let us place a to go order just fine. Highly recommend them ???? Read more

We went here last Saturday and ordered a deep dish, but it was more like a hand-tossed pizza instead of a deep dish. We were... disappointed, although it tasted okay, just not what we were expecting. Not really sure if it was actually a deep dish becausewhen I got home and looked at the receipt, it said thin. I won't be ordering another deep dish from them. Read more

Place had a nice relaxed atmosphere. The service was good. But we were the only ones in there. Was kinda disappointed though.... Wanted a deep dish pizza and it was more like a hand tossed. The only thing deep dish about it was the outside crust. Probablywon't go again. 30 dollars for a large with 2 toppings and extra cheese. Read more
