This was my first time there, and it was a very positive experience. Every employee we encountered was upbeat and friendly. ... The owner came over and greeted us at our table and to see how everything was.\nYou don\'t see that at a lot of restaurantsnow.\nAs for the food, it was lunchtime and since they don\'t have a lunch menu, I ordered a kids meal with chicken strips andMac & cheese. Needless to say, it was tasty and just the right portion amounts. I even got my cookie from the cashier when wechecked out. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger and fries and it was super juicy and looked great, the only problem (not a badone) is that it was huge and she could only finish half of it.\nWhen we checked out, the owner was at the counter, so we got tovisit with him some more and he was really open to ideas/suggestions and answered some questions that we had about themenu.\nAll in all, it was good experience and we will be back. My wife and I heard about this place from a friend. It was really busy for lunch which is always a good sign. My wife had the... chicken fried steak which was delicious with a good steak to breading ratio. I had the grilled pork chops which were slightlyoverdone but still delicious. The side dishes with both entrees were delicious. Read more

Service was slow. Small portions for the price. Monterrey Chicken was basically a thin sliced chicken tender (singular) with... the toppings. Buffalo chicken sandwich was a thin slice piece of chicken. 75% was batter. Very disappointing... 7 people inour party and most were not happy with the food and service.\n\nThen, the waitress started clearing the table before we werefinished eating and wanted us to hand her the stuff. The burgers were so good. The meat had just the right taste. Definitely going back to try out the rest of the menu.

This is a new cute little family owned business in La Porte. Been open for about 3 weeks. The staff is great , friendly and... attentive. The bakery is off the hook with all the pies, cakes and cookies! The food is family recipes that will wake the tastebuds. The onion rings are delicious as was all the food we ordered. I will be back to try other things on the menu for sure! Can’t go wrong with fresh and homemade. This place was busy and everything was clean, including bathroom. The prices are greatfor what ya get. Love that the owner comes out to greet people as well as delivering food to tables.\nI see this place needing abigger location in time. Read more
