Food was not traditional Mexican but still very good. Their take on Huevos Rancheros was good but could use some sort of sauce.... The tamale boat was awesome. It was a very cute little restaurant, nice and bright. It was a little hot in there but I am goingto chalk that up to it being a small restaurant with a lot of windows so it's ok. Read more

I really enjoyed my visit Chula Artisan Eatery. They start you off with complimentary mexican wheel chips served with lime. This... was a nice surprise. Claudias Watermelon salad was delicious and super refreshing especially in the desert heat. The Green ChileMonte Cristo was also really unique and totally worth trying. Cheese, smoked bacon and strawberry jam between beer batteredtortillas - enough said just get it! If you get the Monte Cristo be prepared to not finish it, it is very rich and can make youfeel a little greasy if you over indulge. The Breakfast Burrito was also really good and super fresh tasting. I did order twodesserts to go the Tres Leches bread pudding and carrot cake. These were not that great to me. Overall this is a fantastic placeto visit for some good eats. Read more

Absolutely delicious food! The fish tacos were my favorite. Service is a bit slow and somehow, the kids plate we ordered first... arrived last after 5 other dishes were brought out. Friendly staff, however. Read more

You had me at Green Chile Monte Cristo! Green chile and bacon quesadilla beer battered and flash fried to a crispy crunch and... served with strawberry jam for dipping and a side salad to help you feel better about yourself. The iced tea here is reallyspecial. It's spiced with cinnamon and orange. I highly recommend it. Plus it's refillable which is an added plus. You can alsoget it Arnold Palmer style mixed with their limonada. We had a large party of 15 and they were short staffed, but they werestill able to seat us and provide great service and amazing farm to table Mexican food and classic favorites with a Mexicantwist. Outdoor seating out front is an option and they have nice misters going to help with the heat. There are lots of glutenfree, vegan, and vegetarian options here as well so it is a great place to go if you have dietary restrictions. Read more

Our number one pick for a breakfast or lunch experience in La Quinta. You must work to find this gem; it does not face directly... on Washington rather it is behind Louise?s?. First and foremost, the food is amazing as in so good it defies an easycomparison. It has a depth of quality and flavor I seldom associate with a breakfast/lunch restaurant. We learned that it isindeed chef driven, and it shows. So, off the bat, don?t expect traditional fare. The food and service are at another level. And it is a very good level. The coffee is great. They have a local roaster brand. The quality is outstanding. They servecream, heated on the side. They do custom coffees, of course they do. We had the Heavenly Hollandaise Green Chile Biscuits, which is poached eggs, hollandaise on a green chile biscuit. Yeah, great, and on a bed of greens. Also tried the Brioche FrenchToast, a sweet delight. Fresh strawberries on the day we were there. By the way they have homemade strawberry jam that isamazing. Also tried the Green Chile Monte Cristo. Think of a Monte Cristo sandwich made on a quesadilla but then dipped in eggand deep fried. I liked it so much I will have it again. Served with applewood smoked bacon this is really a showstopper. Thedécor is unique and very comfortable. Odd matched furniture, soft couches, just welcoming. Lots of things to look at on thewalls and very much an enjoyable experience. We found the service to be exceptional. It is not a 15 minute eat your eggs andleave. This is a restaurant, so expect a restaurant kind of experience. And it is not inexpensive. But then it is no cheap inquality or flavor. We have been three times and have averaged an hour or longer each time. I recommend it Read more

We ate here two days in a row on our vacation - it is that good! The staff were happy, kind and wonderful. The bakery items were... homemade and went so well with the delicious coffee. Read more
