Never been here before and really wanted to try this place out for a long time. However, attempting to try this place via... takeout was a real an inconvenience. Really wish I can give a review based of their food, but this one star is earned due tothe difficulty of getting their food via take out! I had called in several times over a span of 1hr to place an order, and noone picks up the phone! I then drive to the place, and attemp to place a take out order at the restaurant. I am told the waitfor food is 1hr... Not a pleasant experience. Really need to focus on their takeout services. Read more
I typically dine in the bar area on my lunch break from time to time since I work less than a mile away . I came today after... work to have dinner with my bf in the bar area again and felt like the bar tenders definitely lack service at the table top barareas . It?s understandable that it gets a little busier around the evening but it shouldn?t take 15-30 for a bar tender tocheck up on his tables . Still enjoy coming here but they need to definitely step up the service .. Read more
We love picking up our father and going to eat at the Shogun Restaurant in La Verne. He always gets a kick out of watching them... cook the delicious food. The shrimp, filet mignon, fried rice are my personal favorites. The cooks make everyone feel welcomeand we all have a good time. Recommend this place for dates, family and friend gatherings. Sushi is always a great idea! My first time visiting this elegant little place in San Dimas. From the moment we arrived, ... nothing but a great experience. From the outside, you can't really tell how nice it is. We visited for lunch; however, Idecided to order outside the lunch menu. I could not be more pleased. I ordered the 1/2 roll trio. I selected the CrunchDragon roll, Salsa Ceviche roll, and the BSC roll. All three were exquisite. Soooo much flavor in every bite. I decided totry the Butter Cake for dessert. Another winner. Went for dinner and the food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh with good presentation and flavor. Staff is polite and fast... and a nice atmosphere to dine in. I've been to Benihana and other tepanyaki restaurants previously. This was my first time at Shogun and I really enjoyed our... dinner celebration with my family there. We went with kids and the staff were all very friendly and they gave superb customerservice. The chef who cooked in front of us was entertaining and fun. We all ordered different dishes but I would highlyrecommend their lobster and ribeye steak. I ordered calamari as an add on and it was also delicious. They did not over salt orover cook the food. We didn't have to wait very long to eat so I would highly recommend Shogun for future reservationsespecially for a large party. It's difficult to find a place to eat good food that can accommodate large parties. We had 9people in total. Read more
