I have been visiting this store since it opened years ago. The store was recently remodeled and has improved, on both looks and... layout. Today I was disappointed there was no iced tea and the ?season special?, French Onion burger, was not too special andnot worth the $2+ extra. Stick with the regular menu and you should be OK. BTW, I?m not a fan of the onion rings, they have astrange taste, just be aware. Recommended with caveat. Read more
Habit is a great local burger chain out of Santa Barbara. Their stores are clean, the servers are well trained and cheerful and... the menu items are different, fresh and delicious. I always get the grilled chicken, Santa Barbara style. It comes on grilledsourdough with grilled onions and avocados. On my last visit, I asked if the server ever heard of "animal fries"; he did andoffered to make me a batch but I already ordered tempura green beans... I'll try them next time. Read more
I visited the La Verne location today and was very disappointed. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our order with no... one in line. The workers were standing around talking. The guy at the register did not seem to know what he was doing. I finallyplaced my order. There were no towels in the bathroom to dry hands. When someone in the restaurant brought it up, the workerslaughed and continued gossiping. It took over 20 minutes to get our order and our food was cold and the order was completemessed up. My children did not eat because their burgers that were order plain had everything on them. I spent almost $40 onfood that we could not even enjoy. The Habit used to serve fresh food with good service. We were very disappointed.Unfortunately after a long day of work and kids in sports, I did not have time to return the food. Read more
Food was great! Price sucked! Everything is inflated now a days. Now they got the Habit. I could not believe my bill was $16.00... I like the Habit. Always get a double cheese burger. I thought I would try the new Chicken Ciabatta sandwich. Was delicious too.Just not for my budget. ???? Read more
Location:Good, Parking: Good, Service Good, Hiring for new crew:yes, Food for price: Okay, Overall: been to a few of these... restaurants and yes depending on whose is making the food will affect the outcome. Bought 2 Cheese Burgers and Ahi Sandwich withfries. Both burgers were enjoyed by the requestors. My Ahi was okay compared to other Habits. The fries were not as hot as theycould be and got cold fast. No complaint about the food, the quality is always good. However, on our 3/16 visit we arrived about 30 minutes before closing... and the woman at the register didn't seem pleased at all. When I simply asked for some black pepper and some yellow chiles shethrew them in my bag with disdain! Later when we were eating at the outside dining, a couple showed up about 5 minutes beforeclosing. They were standing inside for over 5 minutes and then walked out. As they were leaving, I asked "what did they theytell you"? They replied, "nothing, nobody spoke to us. They just all looked busy closing"! That's not right, shame on thestaff there I'm sure you don't want the Habit Burger represented that way! Read more
It would be great if staff and cooks paid attention when customers ask for ?well done?. That usually means we don?t eat pink... meat. Isn?t exactly something you can pick off the burger and keep eating. Read more
