So, I normally don't give such high ratings all willy nilly, but here we are. Listen, I love coming to a bar and brewery, I sit... at the bar, I like to chat with the bartender and feel like Norm at Cheers. Here's the thing: I drink slow. I like IPA's andlike the bartender to pick what I drink. Brianna helped us today and we started off with the Blue Jean Volleyball, next wasOmahaze. As I write this I'm having the DDH. So good. The music tonight is especially good. Motivational rock, my hubby likes tosay. But I like to call it power rock. We sang. We drank. We chatted with the staff. We also ate. Willy dogs was in the parkinglot and we tried their pretzels and dogs the Willy way. Delicious. Also used the restroom and they were spotless. What else canI say? To start I'm giving the brewery such a low rating for the simple fact that your current staff SUCKS (Brianna), simply put. You... can have a huge brewing operation, fun merchandise, everything all pretty and canned or bottle beers to go and spend probablysomehwere between the 500000 to million dollar mark when its said and done in getting this place going and still have a horribleexperience do to the fact it really seemed like your bartender seemed rushed to close even an hour before closing time, thendoing a very aggressive "last call" at 830pm! Simply based on the fact your staff could care less about someones overallexperience when even first coming into your brewery. We even asked for suggestions when first ordering several flights do tothe fact the digital beer menu board would not even stay up long enough to even see what was on tap. So we reverted to askingBRIANNA her suggestions. To which she answered, it's your choice I dont know what you like.....suggestions Brianna, we likesuggestions! Since we had never been here before, she even kept looking at the people behind us almost as to try and rush usalong and asked in a smart tone. "So do you know what you want yet", so we had to guess through half the beers and then finallyasked her politely to just pick a few of her favorites, to which she did seeming very displeased. We attempted get a widevariety to try but honestly they were all just....decent to ok. (No offense) But your staff ruined the experience, and we knewit was not only us when another couple the next table over even commented on how aggressive Brianna came around outside andloudly called "last call". Well folks, on this one its your call, your money. It up to you to decide if you will go check thisplace out. Kros Strain is certainly the best brewery in the Omaha area by a long shot! They have some really unique beers and they are... never afraid to experiment. I?m generally not an IPA drinker but Kros Strain is the only place I would even consider drinking anIPA. The bartenders, Tammy, Sam, Regan, Nicole, Lacey, Brianna, and company, are the best! They are always very friendly andthey make us feel at home. Given that my wife and I have been regulars ever since we moved to the area eight months back, I?mslightly embarrassed to be posting this review so late but I?m glad I?m finally getting around to it! Professional bar staff. Not overly chatty with us. Pro tip: no food here!! But they are cool if you order and get it delivered.... So if you're hungry you might want to order a little earlier and time it. They were nice enough to let me get a shot of thebeer pour when I asked. The flagship flight was great. $10.75 for 5 (4oz) pours. You get to choose 2 while the other 3 arestatic. My friend loved the place and wants to come back. He also likes the merchandise. They have some interesting offeringsincluding a lot of their bar glasses for sale, shirts, hats and even dog treats made from the leftover grain. Parking isavailable in a large lot. Read more
Great beer. Great staff. Great inside, but outside food trucks with noisy generators spoil the greatness !
