We enjoyed our meal here. The service was prompt and friendly. I got the cod fish and chips, the fish was good, the fries were... hot and crisp, the coleslaw was slightly too sweet for my taste, but my husband loved it. My husband got the gator po' boywhich he also loved. Our kiddos shared the grilled cheese, it looked meh, but I didn't try it. Was nervous to try because of the negative reviews but glad I did. Came here for lunch on a Friday around 1230, the place filled... up quickly but the service was still great and we were waited on in a timely manner. Clean and simple atmosphere. Cost wasreasonable. The gator po boy was ok.. tasted much like a pepperoni stick in a sandwich to me but I've never had gator so I don'thave anything to compare that to. The shrimp po boy was perfect. Fries, greens, and sweet potato pie were ????. The mac n cheesewas a bit runny for me but the flavor for everything we tried was on point. Would go again and recommend. Read more
It's hard to find southern style seafood in Washington, much less GOOD southern style! Really good Catfish, Cod and Shrimp... baskets and THE BEST Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw ever! Generous portions and fair price. And REALLY nice people! They do a hugetake-out business so it's best to call your order in, and they are closed between 4 and 5 (small staff, they all do their lunchbreak together.) They only have a few dine-in tables. First of all, just don?t. Second of all, where do I begin? Okay so my fiancé and I ordered drinks he ordered the mango... lemonade: it was wayyy too sour he took one sip and asked for just water and he didn?t want the lemonade. The waitress came backand said ?the people above her said that they still had to charge us for it? FOR TWO SIPS OF A DRINK THAT WAS UNDRINKABLE. Wegot past that and still decided to order. The hush puppies were decent, the Mac n cheese was ok. I personally liked the fries.According to my fiancé the catfish was too crunchy with no flavor and the shrimp and chicken all tasted like they were cookedin the same grease. The worst part was the pork chops although the seasoning was decent one pork chop was cooked through and theother was pink with some blood severely undercooked in my opinion. We didn?t even complain because we were already frustratedwith the having to pay for a drink that we didn?t like. I had heard great things about Beau Legs prior to coming. Having lived in the South as a kid, I was hoping to be taken back in... time to great food. Unfortunately, this fell a little short for me. The hushpuppies were decent, though a little sweet for mytaste. The fish and chips were okay but lacked something. The mac n cheese would have been better if it was baked. The sweet teawas decent. I very rarely leave bad reviews but this place is just asking for one. If I could leave zero stars I would. Customer service was... awful, took them 10 minutes to take our take out order, and ended up writing down the wrong order. When I told them they didn?teven apologize. The cod basket was dry and bland with absolutely no flavor. The food was very clearly not fresh, even the frieswhich were just warm and soggy. I felt like I was drinking straight sugar with the sweet tea. Took 35 minutes to make our food.Was really excited to try this place and ended up extremely disappointed. Read more
The catfish and shrimp I could have had the frozen kind. Greens were way to bitter. Mac n cheese was ok. Peach cobbler was like... soup. Not impressed at all. Looked better than tasted. Read more
My fiancé and I came here for the first time and we're immediately impressed just after the chowder and gumbo.... We then had... the fried catfish basket and the shrimp and grits. There wasn't anything we ordered that was less than perfection! And thecustomer service was the cherry on top everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming and you immediately feel at home!!!
