Great food. Perfect for takeout. Pupusas are made hot to order and the beans and rice are some of the best around. Hot sauce... has a strange bitter tinge but I'm not docking it too much for that. Read more

I had a horrible experience with customer service there. I've only been a few times and those times were the same encounter with... the same poor quality of service. And mind you I'm fluent in English and Spanish so it for sure wasn't a language barrier justput right rude. It was later on when I ordered my food but when I asked to have my burrito cut in half after paying for it, eyeswere rolled at me as if it were much(which I guess it was because I didn't even get that) so you can imagine the response I gotwhen asking for a few slices of lime. Again I'm Bolingbrook so definitely no misunderstandings Read more

I?ve been coming to buy Pupusas to this place. The quality is a hit or miss. Today Pupusas we?re burned and soggy. Please bring... back the old lady who made the Pupusas. Gas is too expensive to travel to Lakewood for stale and inedible food. Read more

Nice little place that serves El Salvadoran food. This is my second time here, and my favorite dish are the Pupusas which is a... small, round flatbread filled with cheese, beans or meat cooked on a hot griddle. Very tasty! Read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside and it's very simple on the inside but was one of the most delicious meals I've had in... the area. Food does take some time to get to your table and the costs are a little higher than related restaurants but it'sworth your patience and the cost. I ordered Pollo con Crema and their take on it was better than I've ever had. Even the blackbeans served with it were elevated and delicious. Will definitely go back to explore their menu more. If you are in the quest for Salvadorean food this is the place to come. The service and the food are great. Now this is not a... fast food joint everything is made to order and it takes time to prepare so have a seat and wait or order ahead either way yourfood will come out fresh and steaming hot. The portions here are big so you get your money's worth. I highly recommend thisplace. Read more

This little place has a bit of authenticity I love about Salvadorian food. It takes some time to get the food to you and they... have a sign in English and Spanish. When it does arrive it is fresh, good, and full of flavor I miss from my home town in ElSalvador. Was ordering food to go but I smelled the food I just had to eat it right then and there. The portions are generousfor the price and the flavor is all there. Read more

At first glance of the menu, I was pretty put off by the prices, but generally, when that happens, I commit and move on with the... meal. And frankly, I'm usually disappointed with higher priced Hispanic food, but only because there are a lot of good places atreasonable cost. This place was... Different... 2 of the least expensive plates, one was 2 tacos, rice, beans for 10.50, theother plate was 1 enchilada, 1 pupusa, rice, beans, cabbage pickle. Because we were here, and I absolutely love plantains, aside with black beans and crema. 1 Jimaica. 2 Tropical Banana Soda (one of my all time favs...), 6$ tip, total 49$. Look, Idon't say this often, but this meal was worth every penny. EVERY COPPER CLAD PENNY!!!! Soooo good! Everything was super fresh, super flavorful, meats were cooked to perfection, tamale was the best tamale I've ever had, the rice is over the top good, as inI wanted to by a couple of quart sized containers to take home for later (but not much later), the black beans seemed to bepureed, which I didn't think I'd like because I like texture, but they were mouth watering!!!. The platano side was supergenerous though I was deeply saddened when I ate the last bite, and lastly, the jimaica. I think the jimaica is real, as insoaked hibiscus flowers and sugar made right there to perfection, as in no corn syrup, just the snap of realsugar. Goooooood!!!! Go. Pay the money! It's most definitely worth it!!!! Read more
