Super excited to get down on these krispy wings. Purchased a 7 wing combo with waddles, biscuit and a drink. The flavors of... sauce I chose were Tangy with a Kick and Blazin\'. So meaty, crispy and delicious. Read more
Literally the best wings I\'ve ever had. So far I\'ve had Honey lemon pepper, tangy with a kick, and today I had garlic... parmesan. I can\'t overstate how crunchy and juicy the chicken is, even hours later. And the size?! Don\'t let the 3,5 ,7,9 foolyou....I get the 9 piece wing and share with my daughter and wife. The owner is one of the sweetest women I\'ve ever met, andall of the employees are incredibly kind and prompt. They bring your food to you in your hands with a smile. Okay, so, first impression: THEY\'RE HUGE. I got the buffalo sauce which is excellent - it\'s not spicy enough to have to stop... every couple bites but just enough to get the nose running. The flavor of the wings themselves is excellent as well. However,there is waaaay too much breading. The breading is crunchy and great for those who like breaded wings, but it feels more like achicken strip with bones than a wing. But my biggest criticism is the ranch; they offer Newman\'s Own ranch cups, which imo issome of the worst tasting ranch out there. I would strongly advise having your own ranch on hand. I definitely suggest to IkonicWings that they learn to make their own ranch in house and offer a \"big cup\" style to fit their gigantic wings. I went to Ikonic yesterday for my lunch. I\'ve been there before, and I figured I would give it another try. I got the ikon... combo, with salt and vinegar wings and honey lemon pepper. Critiques:\nThe wings were okay, not the absolute best. I think thevery thick coating on chicken does certain flavors a disservice. For the salt and vinegar flavors, the powder isn\'t strongenough for the flavor to penetrate past the coating, which makes for a very plain tasting wing. The honey lemon pepper was toohoney forward, so you don\'t get a good taste of the lemon pepper in the sauce. I only knew that there was lemon pepper in thesauce because of the pepper flakes. I will say that the thick coating works really well for flavors like the the tangy with atwist (which I think is just honey mustard). In that flavor the sauciness complements the thick coating, giving you a crunchybite with some chewiness from where it soaks up the flavor. I really enjoyed that one when I went last time.
