Out for dinner with neighbours at Bouillon16 in Lachute Saturday night. Food was excellent, atmosphere fantastic and the service... was great. Extremely busy. Must make a reservation to dine there. Overall, great evening out. Absolutely adding this to ourregular list for dinning out. Also, as I do not speak French, I had no issues communicating with the staff I talked to, theypleasantly served us in English. Much appreciated!! Read more
A group of 20 of us reserved for 6pm last nite to celebrate a birthday. I was one of first to arrive. Nice little place clean,... modern. There was a piece of paper on the table with the Table D hote menu on it. I looked over it and didn't see any thing Iliked. I called the waitress over and asked if there was another menu. She responded yes, and said we couldn't order from itbecause we were more than 15 people, and it would confuse the chef. I was stunned. I even told her there was nothing on thatmenu that I wanted. When the person hosting arrived I told them and they were surprised and said they were never told aboutthat, and said they would have changed restaurants if they had been told. When some guests were a no show, we ended up onlybeing 15 so the host managed to get the restaurant to back down and allow us to order from regular menu, but also told us thewait for our orders would be longer. The staff was overwhelmed. They came out of kitchen with the food and weren't even sure whoordered what. My daughter and I ordered drinks, we only got them after we reminded the waitress that we had ordered them. Weasked for our order to come all together, but ended up getting it scattered over time. I ordered a 9$ glass of wine, which endedup being a half glass. My daughter ordered a virgin strawberry daquiri for which we were charged 9.50$ the same price as analcoholic one. We ordered some peanut dumplings, which didn't taste peanutty at all, tasted more like mayo sauce. The calamariwere good, as were the mozza sticks. The rest not so much. Went on a Saturday evening, i was seated near the speakers, the music was awfully loud. I was then moved to another seat which... was surrounded by screaming children. The plate i was served was extremely bland (chicken and rice) i left immediately afterthat and didn't bother with desert. Read more
I only visited for a business get together. The young lady that served the drinks was very amiable. Downstairs it was quite... full it was a seafood special night but we did not feel like it. The menu did not offer any great choices. Read more
Incredible gourmet specialties from truly creative chefs. Scallops in an (ever so light) vanilla sauce. I was skeptical.... Heavenly. This is a world class restaurant well deserving a Michelin star. Read more
Great food, excellent customer service and great ambiance. We went for all you can eat mussels night which happens on... Wednesdays. We were not disapointed. We also had some apertizers that were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant ifyou are in the area. It is also known for its delectable fondues. Read more
Went here last night for a retirement party. What a disappointment. It took us 20 minutes to get drinks. The restaurant was very... clean that's why I gave 2 stars and not 1. The waitresses were very slow and inattentive. It was pasta night and alot of usordered pasta. When everything came to the table they had no clue who ordered what, one waitress stuck her nose an inch from thepasta to smell it then handed it to the person. We all saw it and we're disgusted. The pasta had been made way in advance andhad dried out. Two of us got the wrong kind of pasta, the waitress knew this and handed it to us anyways. I'm annoyed at thispoint and try to stir the dry pasta while she looks at me asking me if it's okay she doesn't change it. I told her it's alldried out and handed it back to her. It was replaced within 5 minutes so if it was that fast to make they could have made itlast and not have it sit there. We had to ask multiple times for water and bread as there was not enough for the table. Theynever offered to refill our other drinks we had to ask. At the end the waitress said it was 15$ pasta night and the meals weremuch cheaper so we should compensate with a bigger tip for her. I don't even think the tip was deserved at this point but I gaveone anyways. Awful awful experience and I won't be giving them another chance. It looks like they can't handle large groups sofind another place if you want to have a large group of people for supper. I later found out that one of the people at our tabledropped the debit machine due to a weakness in her hand and the waitress said "really" in a nasty tone. I really hope the ownersees this. Read more
