The environment and the staff were superb but we did have a few comments on thefood. Overall this restaurant hit the mark with its Italian cuisine and with a few minor adjustments, they could be outstanding!We were satisfied with the experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant. ATMOSPHERE: Upon entering the restaurantyou are welcomed with the hostess booth to the front and a pastry bar to your left. There is also some sight into the kitchenwhich gives it an authentic edge of an Italian market and kitchen. The dining area is beautifully laced out. There are 2 floors.Part of the first floor seating area is located under a huge cathedral ceiling which, when coupled with the table layout, givesa very spacious feel to the experience. The temperature, air circulation, and lighting made the environment very comfortable.The brick walls and white trim meshed beautifully with the black and wood colored seating. A touch of class and whimsical charmwas added to the venue with the piano in the middle of the room along with light jazz in the background. The upstairs had a bararea along with a side room. The art in the restaurant was a mixture of modern simple patterns and authentic Italian wall art.The decorator truly brought this restaurant to life. Feedback: think about getting a small storage cabinet for the bathroom sothat cleaning supplies are not visible. Food was amazing. Even though the waitress was overwhelmed due to staffing shortages she was very attentive. Excellent... job. Can't wait to go back!! The bread sticks are amazing. Love this place!! Because of covid, we waited 2.5 years to return and we were not disappointed. The Seafood Sophia was as... incredible as I remembered, as were the seafood stuffed mushrooms. The atmosphere and staff were as great as ever. Can't wait toreturn!! Read more

Great Italian food with delicious flavors and good ingredients. These are likely the best meatballs in the area and some of the... best outside the North End. The menu is extensive and prices are reasonable considering the quantity of food, easily enjoy fortwo meals with most dishes. While it's been some time since I was able to dine in, the place is open and comfortable with anolder atmosphere from the classic building.
