This restaurant is like going to 'Cheers"!!! The employees seem to Really care about their customers and their restaurant. GOOD... quality food for a Very fair price. There is a variety of restaurants to select yet whenever we travel, we seek a Perkins. Sofar, always been a Great choice! We went to Perkins today as my husband enjoys breakfast 24 hours a day we have not been at this location for probably two years... but I?m so glad we went today. My husband?s order was simple as always he just ordered a waffle which he enjoyed I however amsort of a pain when it comes to ordering as I?m very fussy how my burgers are cooked I ordered it medium and when it came out itwas well done so I showed it to the waitress Shantini and with a smile on her face she took it right back and apologized andsaid she?d have a new one made immediately. I was fine with that and then the manager John Mobley came by while I was waitingand told me there would be no charge for my burger. I really wasn?t expecting that it was certainly pleased that they caredenough to do something like that. When my burger came out not much later it was done perfectly and I was a happy camper. Very disappointing no silverware brought to us so we had nothing to wipe our hands on when eating appetizer. Had a chicken... tender sandwich wanted extra American cheese got pepper jack instead, said they were shorthanded and sent everyone home wellthats not our problem, how hard is it to bring silverware to a table? On vacation and decided we wanted Perkins. The one back home is great. Came in, the place wasn't crowded. Nice! The lady at the... counter stared at us for a few seconds before walking over. She decided to seat us. Then, we waited. And waited. And waited.Meanwhile the girl bussing that section said and did nothing. Didn't offer to find someone. Didn't ask us for drinks. Not even asimple apology. Nothing. Finally a guy came by, apologized to only one table near us and then left. On the other side of thelittle shopping center is a place called Darrell's Diner. The Wild Berry Pie is Delicious. Been into the Restaurant and have had it 3 different times now, HOWEVER- Every. Single. Time.... there were undeveloped berries and whole pieces of berry bush- THORNS AND ALL. Who is handling quality control there? Grandpadoesn't want to eat berry bushes. Grandma does not want Thorns in her gums. Eat with Caution.... but definitely still eat. Atleast you can tell it's real berries. Don't take it so hard Perkins, even cherries sometimes have pits. If you are looking for a good Nd flavored meal this pancake combo and blue muffins French toast gets 3 starts from us. Flavored,... timely manner and fullfillingly but the customer service was essential. You know it is about moment for us as well as the taste! Read more
5/8/22 Mothers day, they were very short staffed but Christine did an outstanding job. We were early at 7:15am so got seated... right away, they also only had one cook so many people were mad and left but we found that it really only took like an extra10mns for our food and it was all done perfect and was delicious so the one cook did an EXCELLENT job. Worst service ever! Walked in at about 1 PM. Not busy in the restaurant at all. Saw 3 waitresses, one about 4 ft from me. Not... one acknowledged my presence. A nod or a smile or a "be right with you" would have sufficed. Nothing. I waited. An older couplewalked in behind me. They waited. No one acknowledged any of us. We stood there nearly 15 minutes. I looked over my shoulder atthe couple and asked, "Can you see me?" They nodded and the woman agreed that she was feeling invisible too. Finally a managerin a blue long-sleeved shirt came out of the kitchen. He was on his phone. He pointed and said someone would be right with us.It was another 2-3 minutes before someone asked if we wanted a table for three. I was seated separately and the waitress wasfriendly and efficient. Food OK, not great. I went to the counter to pay but no one was there. I waited again. A full 7minutes. Out of desperation I left the cash and the ticket in front of the register drawer. As I walked to my car I passed thesame blue-clad manager, outside, again on his phone, explaining to someone that the kitchen was backed up but no one told himthat customers were unhappy. Saying that he had had to comp a meal and that about 8 people in one party was going to leave a badreview and that they knew his name. I wish I knew his name. Lousy management for sure.
