Haven?t been to an A&W in awhile but if it?s anything like what I had today I won?t be going to another A&W. Stopped off to pick... up food on way to the ferries. Long wait inside with no other customers. By the time the food came we had to rush off to theferries with the bag of food. Got to the terminal and looked inside to find that instead of sweet potato fries we got regularfries. The fries were not salted and we had asked for salt. The english muffin sausage egger was completely way over cooked. Itwas so dry I couldn?t eat it. The sausage was burnt beyond belief til it was dry and black. I wouldn?t feed this to a dog. I wasquite looking forward to having A&W but left feeling incredibly disappointed. Now to find something to get this charred tasteout of my mouth. Read more
This is a lovely spot to stop when travelling up island as there is plenty of room to pull in with my travel trailer. The owner... has provided picnic tables with umbrellas on the nearby grassy area which makes for a pleasant eating experience on a nice day.The owners have great incentives for their staff too. My fam and I stopped in for dinner and it was SUPER busy between drive thru and inside the restaurant. After my own complicated... order, we ended missing a couple of things and went to correct the mistake with the cashier and even though I was happy to payfor the order The manager waved the charge. From what I observed, thus lady handled the crazy madness of orders, multipleconversations and did it with style and humor. I now love this place and will only eat here when I'm in Ladysmith! My go to is a meal with sweet potato fries and last time I was at this location they handed me my meal apologizing because they... were out of the chipotle mayo. I was disappointed as I love the combo of SP Fries and the Chipotle mayo. The young lady workingin the back overheard this and offered to make some more mayo for me. For that little gesture I love this place. They could?vehanded me the meal and said sorry, but they chose to go above and accommodate my pouty butt. Read more
