Sorry to say, this restaurant lost a regular customer today. I called ahead and asked for teriyaki beef over vegetables instead... of rice and that I was willing to pay more. The kind lady asked the man in the background and came back on to say sorry, no,they can't do that. Then I asked for a side of steamed veg, and was told to hold again. The man came on the phone andaggressively stated they changed their menu and now they don't have any vegetables, and that if I wanted vegetables I should trysomeplace else. Then he hung up on me! Perfect lunch spot in Ladysmith. Delicious bento box with great portions. Love how much tempura you get!

The owners are super nice, and the food is great. Bit more expensive, so I don't go as often as I used to. But very tasty.

My family and I stopped by this evening for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. The tempura was wonderfully crispy and airy,... and the ramen was flavourful and chewy. The staff were friendly and courteous, going above and beyond to provide us a greatdining experience. The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept, with a welcoming vibe. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We came in to order some take out about a half hour before closing. I wanted sashimi... but it wasn't on the menu. The owner personally made me tuna and salmon rolls with large pieces of fish to accommodate me. Hedidn't have to do that, it was very kind of him. It was absolutely delicious. The tempura prawns were enormous. We had a largeselection of different foods and all were excellent. While we were waiting for our order, the owner gave us complimentary softdrinks and two California Rolls. My parents and my husband have found a new favorite Japanese restaurant. Read more
