EXCELLENT choice for lunch!! I got to sit out on the spacious deck with a gently blowing breeze as we ate and visited with... friends. I ordered Grilled Chicken Nachos as an appetizer for the three of us - DELICIOUS! For my main course I had a Rubensandwich. Omg....on marble rye, approx. Two inch stack of deliciously prepared pastrami.... PERFECT! I had our lovely wait stafflady pick out her favorite dry white wine.... PERFECT! Very reasonable! I will be eating here again. Touch an incredibly disappointing experience. We are from out of town and were told how incredible The Grille was. Our waiter... was less than attentive. We waited more than 30 minutes for cocktails, that were not even great. If the place was even slightlycrowded we would have understood. But that was not the case? once our food arrived (again after a VERY long wait) we weremissing multiple items that came with our meals. After asking for them the staff brought them and basically threw them at ourtable. Once we said something to our waiter that this was not acceptable? he literally jokes goes ?we will just fireher? Overall it is a nice place to have dinner after a full day of driving. Food is good. Guitar player, tv, and relaxing... service. Only problem we had was the entrance was not very friendly meaning it looked like it was closed and no way of knowingif it was opened or not. There were dim lights on that looked like it was kept on just to expose themselves even when they areclosed. We figured it was opened due to cars in parking lot. Read more

This was a little gem in Lago Vista! The vibe was chill and the service was phenomenal! Nikki was our server and she was so... quick and attentive. We had the curds, Buffalo chicken wrap and the Texas cheesesteak. All 10/10! I was confused reading aboutthe racial profiling bc we are Arabs and were treated with the utmost love and respect. I have been there twice in the last month. First experience was great! Service was fast and efficient; food was delicious and... the view cannot be beat! The second visit was yesterday, a Saturday. The view, again was beautiful. The service was deplorable.We spent most of our time waiting to be served. I could understand if it had been crowded, but it was not. The food was ok. Thechips were way too salty and the burger was not cooked as requested. I?ll go back because of the view and atmosphere, but ifservice and the quality of food are not acceptable, it will be my last visit. ***Update: My grandson and I returned to TheGrill at Highland Lakes over the Christmas Break and I am pleased to say the service was excellent! I got the burger with medium rare beef, mushroom and cheddar cheese. It was a delicious big burger, the chef made it exactly... medium rare with melt in my mouth patty and fantastic fries. I had enough restaurant burger that taste way worse than In n Outburger where I have to spit the chewy meat out. But this is very well worth the price!! My husband Texas cheesesteak sandwichalso very fresh and tasty he swallowed it so fast. Our server was also super nice and attentive! Definitely will come back againand try other dishes! Read more
