Food was good! Good selection. We were in between breakfast and lunch. We would have enjoyed the breakfast more. Biscuits and... gravy were good. We are from Florida so we do not eat like this typically so it was a good change for us. If we were in the areaagain we would probably eat here again. The buffet is Excellant. It has a meat and vegetable, salad and dessert buffet. Is has the best fried chicken and fried... porkchops in town. Fried fish on Friday. It is southern style food. One of the absolute worst places to eat in the city. The picture below is the owner I asked to speak with him after finding a... bug in my food. He flowered his arms and and was talking loud to me in a rude manner. He insisted that there was nothing hecould do but I could eat something else if I wanted to stay. Awful would not go back. In the area visiting Great Wolf with the Kiddos & want some home cooked food. Found this place & the reviews are not true. ... Well maybe just not what I know to be your southern cooking. Let?s say the sweet tea, corn bread & fried chicken was the bestthing to southern cooking. The rest was right out the frozen department or can foods. They would have done better if they usedthe banquet Mac & Cheese instead of what they had very watery. There is also a smell of a dirty mop or something that hit mynose but I said let?s give it a try anyways in which that usually would have turned me back out the door. Mash potatoes wasinstant by the way. I gave it a 2 start b/c the staff was very friendly & helpful good customer service but it?s not your realstyle southern or soul food you are looking for. I liked it. It was a small selection but good. The food is good. They had meats, veggies, variety of salads, and desserts. Even... though everything was good there was nothing that stood out or that I had to get seconds on. The weird thing was this pear,cheese, cherry, mayo concoction which I learned may actually be a thing of the south. I never seen or tried it before so it wascool to try something new. The best thing was this yellow cake on the hot bar and the service. The service was great. She madesure our drinks was filled and that she took the plates/garbage from the table. The lady in the front was nice and funny. Theymade sure to keep things clean and stocked. Also, the sweet tea was delicious. The decorations were nice and fun to look at. This place was a gem! I'm not one for buffets but this really had the southern charm flavors in everything they made! Fried... chicken, fried pork chops, and sweet potato cassrole were just some of the choices. The desserts didn't disappoint either. Kidsloved it too! Read more
