If you are looking for a place with a great view and great food Larsen is the spot for you. Get your seat by the beach and enjoy... a shared menu with sushi from FIN which we had as an appetizer. Visited Larsens for the first time under new ownership. Service was spectacular! Talia did a perfect job. Drink were spot on.... Sea bass was scrumptious! Fantastic interior and stunning ocean views in a classic but modern hotel that?s been recently updated. Very much soho-beach... house vibes. Plush velvet seating, oversized artwork, huge mirrors, lap dogs, gucci, botox, gossip, rosé, salads!!! The clearlyunder-trained hostesses couldn?t seem to figure out how seating worked, it was confusing and cumbersome with people (alsowithout reservations) being seated immediately as we waited there twiddling our thumbs. It?s also palpable how disrespectfulsome of the privileged patrons were to wait staff so recommend being extra kind and gracious!! 5 stars for Vibe, Staff, Decor and Location, and View. THE VIEW???????????? 4 for the food? I only had 3 things so I really... need to try more dishes. But there were so many other things about this restaurant that it deserves five stars! So many coolspots at this restaurant to eat and ???? drink. Different outside areas, different levels. A huge bar a large lounge inside thebar. An outdoor casual seating area with cushions, I picture groups of people sitting and having cocktails, work meeting,friend gatherings etc. I loved it so much I can?t wait to go back!! Also I found out there?s a beach club at this locationdownstairs that?s ocean front and there?s access to the sand with beach chairs umbrellas and it?s full service with drinks andfood. There?s a cost to reserve chairs and umbrella I think it was $50. But what a great spot to hang out!! . That?s also on mylist I will be going back for that too lol Ok my food! Oysters ???? awesome loved them and the red sauce was so gooddefinitely ordering those again French Onion Soup ???? not What I was expecting at all I didn?t hate it but I didn?t love it.It came with this big cracker that you have to crumble into the soup and then three breaded cheeseballs but there?s not evenreally that much cheese in the cheeseballs and one of the cheeseballs did not even have cheese in it lol and the whole point ofFrench onion soup is the cheese ???? so maybe it?s perfect for the person that wants French onion soup and very littlecheese. Scallop Appetizer ???? This is a hot dish and Seemed more like an entrée type of dish not an appetizer dish and Iguess when I read the description I was expecting something different. A true hidden gem in Laguna! It doesn?t get any better than this. The views are spectacular, the service is personalized and the... staff is very hospitable. The food is truly one of a kind, and our friends can?t stop raving about the short rib cigars with thehorseradish sauce. Read more
