I haven't been to Ruby's Diner in a long time. Their burgers/sandwiches along with their shakes are good as usual. What I... noticed this time was their sides are not very good. We had sweet potato fries and Cajun fries, both were not good. They bothseemed a little stale and were not seasoned much either. They have a patio seating which has a view of the ocean, just water,not the coast line. The service was a little slow, but probably due to lack of staffing. The staff were friendly. Their patioarea could use a sweep/cleaning, their tables and lawn chairs were kind of sticky and could use a good cleaning as well. If youwant a good hamburger, tasty shake, with a peak a boo view of the ocean then come by this Ruby's Diner. Read more
Me and my husband went out to Laguna beach for our anniversary and we decided to stop at Ruby?s. We have been to a different... Ruby before in Palms Spring. At this Ruby?s we had an awesome experience. The waiters and waitresses were really nice. Our fooddid not took long to make and it was very delicious. I also love the vibe of the restaurant and the decor. I recommend this playto anyone wanting to eat at a diner through time. Read more
This place is by far one of the best experiences I?ve ever had at a restaurant. The main reason is because of our incredible... host Lily!! Right away she sat us and instead of just asking for what drinks we wanted she asks where we are from and we end uphaving a super long conversation about the area around Laguna. After we ate we went outside to take some pictures of the cars.My dad and I were taking selfies and she saw us and asked if we wanted her to take our picture. She truly made this experienceone of a kind, and because of HER we WILL be stopping back!! Thank you Lily for being so great to us!! This is a great restaurant with a roof top that faces the ocean. The waiter was great, he brought out heating lamps to keep us... from being chilled. The food was ok, the mocha shake was fantastic! It's a nice relaxing atmosphere with top notch views. Read more
Beautiful place with a classic dinner fill. Upon arrival, you'll observe prestige vintage cars. Once inside you'll be greeted by... waitresses wearing 50's attire. My fave was the phone by the restroom. In all my ventures to old dinners, this was the first oneI've encountered. Read more

I really loved the look of the restaurant and the service, but the food was not the best in my opinion. We had a sizable order,... it was fresh and hot, but missing out of seasonings. The calamari was really good though. Cars outside were so cool. Read more
