Who would have thought there would be bad ass authentic Cajun food inside a sale barn in Karnes city. I'm almost hesitant to... write this review for fear that I won't find an open table for lunch anymore. Crawfish etouffee is excellent, the po boys aregood and ridiculously large if you're not hungry you better order a half size. Shrimp baskets are good I like the breading theyuse it's not too much and not too little just perfect. So far for me the shrimp Peking (sp?) Is the star of the show. **Shrimp Po Boy** Get it!! They import the sandwich bread from a bakery in New Orleans, get the shrimp by driving down to the... gulf, use their own homemade seasoning and remoulade sauce, and bread the shrimp only when ordered. Super friendly service!! Read more
My first experience with Grattons involved having them come to my home to cater a shrimp boil for my birthday party. Jeremy... prepared everything from the start to finish in my backyard. It was a neat experience for our guests to see. He took the time togive us a great food experience and a fun shrimp boil with great sized shrimp and all the works. He did this all while neverstepping foot in our house- he was well prepared. He cooked it for us and helped us dump it on our tables, made sure we weregood to go before leaving. I have also had Grattons cater another smaller boil, where I just picked up the boiled shrimp and allthe works from their restaurant and brought it my house. Another great experience. There food served from Grattons Is never subpar. The poboys are equivalent to what you would find in New Orleans, served with true French bread. Their fried catfish isalways fresh and very tasty. We love crawfish season because they offer crawfish boils- go early because they always sellout!! And if they have fresh warm cracklins on hand, get you a bag- you won't be disappointed. Read more
