Ordered a Beef Saltado, the rice and beef was good but the sauce is boss. My man at the front asked if I like hot sauce, and... that?s the best choice, A+. That green chile sauce is flavorful to the max, not overwhelmingly spicy, just awesome. Read more

Came here on a Sunday as they were opening up. I saw a gentleman bringing out a table and chairs and asked if they were open. ... He replied, ?What do you want??. I answered, ?I would like to eat lunch.?. He again asked me in an extremely brisk manner,?What do you want??. I said, ?I don?t know what I want, can I see a menu??. The rest of the meal continued like this. Short, harsh toned replies. Never once asked if everything is good. Never once asked if I needed anything. Did not even askif I wanted any dessert. Just dropped the check on the table and walked away. I ordered an iced tea. It was room temperaturewith a couple of ice cubes in it. I had to twice ask for more ice. Finally, while I am sitting here waiting to pay the checkhe comes out and grabs my empty iced tea glass. I thought, ?Well, at least he is refilling my iced tea one more time before Igo, and that is something positive ?. WRONG! He came out, took my glass, and then never returned. If I was writing a scriptfor a comedy movie and wanted to include a scene depicting the worst, rudest, most awful customer/waiter experience, it would behard to top what I experienced today. On a positive note, the food was ok. Read more

Very modest ambience but quality of the food is excellent. Very traditional and authentic Peruvian dishes done well and prepared... as per family recipes. I've frequented this restaurant, which by the way, seems like a hole in the wall for over 20 years andthe Owner has been the same: friendly, amiable, no frills, no non-sense approach to managing his restaurant. Not so much inpersonality, however, the quality of the food is second to none, and I believe that has been the enduring success of this littlegem of Peruvian food. Read more

Terrible service and food for a high price. The chicken saltado is deep fried making it taste like oily chicharrones. The bread... they serve at first are cheap hotdog buns. Don't ask for any modifications because it will cost you $$$ (e.g. changing rice tosalad). Will highly recommend friends NOT to go. Read more
