i called to place an order of 6 large pizzas. Call center picked up my phone call and they said they couldn't place my order.... They transfered me to the store, answered, then hung up on me. I called back and call center picked up the phone and transfer meagain to the location of el toro road. 10 minutes on the line and no one ever answered. I ended up calling dominoes for my carryout tonight. Terrible customer service. Read more

Forget ordering by phone. Horrible experience with their central phone ordering. You get into a phone loop that you cannot get... out of. You cannot dial direct to the store. You can't check on an order, you cannot talk to a manager if you hit that option.I like their pizza but the corporate management needs to fix their phone service. Read more

as i?m writing this review i?m sitting outside the papa john?s el toro location. this location is so poorly ran and not only are... the workers to blame also the franchisee. The workers at this location are so unaware of their surroundings and it doesn?t helpthat when you call to make an order your call is sent to a call center in the philippines. Elizabeth was bright enough to tellme this morning at 10:40am she was swamped with pizza orders and that she had accidentally cancelled my order after going topick up my order. Read more

They have the worst costumer service. They have made my orders wrong multiple times and had to go to the store again to get the... right order. The store manager is supposed to be helpful but this manager is worse than their employees. I will never order fromthis store again. Read more

I?d give this store 0 stars if possible. Terrible service! store manager got aggressive with my wife. We won?t be spending our... money here after 27 years in lake forest. Kid gave a fake name. Can?t believe papa Johns supports this kind of behavior at theirestablishment. He also lied about being the store manager. Reached out to corporate on several platforms. Take your businesselsewhere! Terribly managed location with rude employees. We tried calling so many times to update an order and they never pick up. Pizza... is great but who wants to be treated so poorly for a pizza! Read more

This is a painful review to write. I have been a customer of the Papa John's Rancho Santa Margarita location for many years. Due... to poor handwashing practices, I stopped going to this location and started visiting the Papa John's on El Toro Rd (where thisreview is posted). Customer Service is fantastic and my pizza is typically made exactly how I order. On one occasion, I saw alive cockroach walk across the floor and crawl up the wall on the right side near the drink refrigerator. I pointed it out tothe manager on duty who told me it must have walked in from outside. This caused me to stop going to this location for 4 monthsor so. During that time, I went to Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita again. It looked like much of the staff had changedduring my absence and their handwashing practices improved greatly. The last time I returned to Papa John's on El Toro Rd, Inoticed a dead bug on the side of the freezer closest to the door. I did not point it out, however, I permanently stopped goingto this location. I returned to Papa John's in Rancho Santa Margarita up until 1 day prior to their permanent closing. On thatvisit, the food was cooked perfectly, however, the BBQ sauce they provided was expired - by more than 1 month. I did not realizeit until we got home, ate a few poppers, and immediately knew something didn't taste right. I called the store and spoke withthe Manager. They were polite and offered to have the General Manager call me back. They never called and the store closedpermanently the next day. I called the Papa John's on El Toro Rd and confirmed the Owner of both locations was the same. Iasked the Assistant Manager of this location to have the Owner call me back. I shared my phone number was told I would get acall in a day or two. After two days, I called back and was told they were not authorized to replace the order.
