Second degree burns on the roof of my mouth! Thank you! The Habit is normally fine not my favorite but it works. This time the... worst. How do you serve a burger so hot that after 5 minutes it is hot enough to give second degree blistering burns on in yourmouth? I waited another 10 minutes and it was still piping hot. I actually think they make one of the best burgers and rival In N out. Don't dwell on it, they are very different and have their... own unique products but I think if you like a juicy burger that tastes charbroiled and not like hard ground beef stuck togetherwith sawdust, you'll likely enjoy this burger. It is a bit messy so I don't suggest wearing white while eating one. Also theytend to get soggy if you leave them too long so get right on that. Not a drive thru burger, it takes some attention to the taskat hand to down one of these. I like the toasted sourdough bread as an alternative to the bun but that's just me. They have 2combo meals that include the fries and drink. One is the Char burger, the other is the double Char burger. Keeping it simple isa gift. Read more

I love The Habit Grill but last night's experience has me shocked. I placed a curbside order thru the app at about 7:30 pm,... received a confirmation email and headed over. When I pulled up to the designated space I clicked 'I'm here' button, receivedconfirmation and waited. A delivery was brought to the car next to me and I continued waiting. After 20 minutes I donned my maskand went inside. I said I had been waiting over 20 minutes for my order, the young man asked my name and checked and said theydidn't have the order. I showed him the confirmation on my phone. The manager came over and said they did not have my order andI would have to call the number and ask for a refund! What number?! He finally went in the back to get the number and the youngman checked the system again. He handed me the phone number and repeated, call for a refund. So I asked what i was supposed todo now, drive thru In n Out? And he said yes, if you want. When I called the number it directed me to the online 'contact us'form. So I completed that but have heard nothing 12 hours later. I understand systems have glitches but I also understandhospitality having worked over 25 years in the restaurant business. This manager made no effort to resolve the issue andactually sent me away, hungry and frustrated to patronize another establishment leaving me to solve the problem myself. Is thereno way to follow up on a confirmation number? Does the manager really have no way to resolve this? BTW there was one customerwaiting for their order and no other customers in line so it's not as if they were too busy to help. Read more

We ate in the restaurant and I have to say the food was significantly better eaten hot freshly prepared. I love there spicy... sriracha green beans. I ordered the grilled chicken club and thought it was terrific. The bread was fresh and the grilledchicken was very flavorful. The rest of the family ordered burgers and everyone agreed the food was outstanding. My wife lovesthe sweet potato fries. They offer a selection of lemonade/juices and fountain drinks. Today was beyond shocking! After ordering I was standing there waiting patiently for my food away from the counter and one of... the employees decided she wanted to have a confrontation for no apparent reason. She wanted me to stand and wait in anotherarea, even though other people were standing in my location as well-- they were not addressed. She then decided to yell and meand other customers decided to yell at me due to them thinking I was the one that initiated the conflict (which I didn't), whenI was simply looking at my phone with my mask on completely away from people. She was a horrible representation of theestablishment and should be addressed by the owner for her egregious behavior. I would love for the owner to please pull thetape and see how I was verbally assaulted within this establishment today, so they can see how a staff change could benefit therestaurant. I know everyone in the world is 'stressed out' but treating people poorly is not okay. I asked for my money back soI could leave-- I will NEVER support this local business again. I hate that so many people are deciding it is okay to beunprofessional, and low class these days because it doesn't encourage anybody to continue to head out in the community tosupport the economy. I didn't deserve that treatment and she was completely in the wrong. I am totally losing faith in humanityat this point. I expected more out of the population in California, but I have been hate crimed here the most, and had the mostaggressive social interactions in this state verses anywhere in the country other than Missouri. So disappointing. By the way,your counters were dirty and there was no ketchup at all. There were plenty of other things she could've been doing other thanseeking unwarranted conflict. Recently visited this location and had the Charburger with cheese and onion rings. The meal was delish. The burger at the Habit... always tastes great. I have been to this location on most of my Habit visits and I am happy to know that it is close to home.The cashier was friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable.
