I will never understand why anyone wouldn’t give this restaurant five stars. The food quality is so high and everything is so... fresh. I have never had more delicious, house-made guacamole or salsas (which are warm btw) anywhere else. The ambience iswonderful and clean and the service is absolutely top-notch. I have been here many times but I feel compelled to write thisreview after seeing that Authentico only has four stars on Google. This is the best restaurant! Everything was delicious...so much so that I forgot to take photos! The guacamole is creamy and the... portions are plentiful! I love the beautiful outdoor patio with decorative heat lamps! Some of the tables have gas fire pits right in the center of the... table top. I would say the cuisine is elevated mexican. The service was fantastic! The chairs were super comfortable. The twoSalsas they brought out with the homemade chips were warm and each one better than the next! The salad was absolutely deliciouswith jicama, black beans, veges and lots of perfectly ripe avocado tossed in cilantro lime vinaigrette. The chicken enchiladaswere a bit of a miss. We dined as a family of 6. We brought my parents who are in their uppers and low 80s. The food was just ok. Prices that were... advertised on line for sangria were not honored. We were told the prices changed a long time ago and they were not updated. Themanager came over to talk to us with a nasty attitude. Both of my kids ordered kids meals and drinks were supposed to beincluded. They were not included. My daughter’s drink was taken off the bill but my sons was not removed. We were told heordered a drink and was strawberry so they wouldn’t take the drink off the bill. The food was average and the prices werehigh. It was very obvious that the staff doesn’t care if customers return. It was very obvious that the restaurant has theirregular customers and they don’t care if those outside of this group of people return. My family found the staff just plainrude and unaccomodating. It was an OK experience and food was alright. I give this location a 4 as they brought me a cheese enchilada when I ordered one... with crabmeat originally. My waitress noticed and got me the one I ordered but had to wait a bit. Also during the meal, I hadto wait for my water glass to be refilled and even then I had to ask but I was already done with my meal. They do takereservations which was nice. Read more

Food was absolutely delish! Had the Marco Polo Asado I'm a frozen margarita girl but didn't want to pay extra $1 to get it... Frozen so had it in the rocks was good, not bad at all. Dessert was coconut flan, amazing!! Read more

Good food, great desserts.(4 stars). Ridiculously over priced but it is Lake Forest. Service (3 stars) was marginal because... our server kept getting pulled away to deal with unhappy pick-up customers. Desserts and atmosphere make it worth the visit.Would have rated 3.5 over all if I could have. If you live or study locally it beats dealing with the insanity and traffic nearHawthorn mall. Read more
