The service here was really good, even though it was 12:30PM and they were super busy. We ordered the Italian beef egg rolls and... thought they were just okay. The dipping sauce they came with was white and creamy, with a hint of horse radish and, in myopinion, was not the right sauce for the dish. We asked for some honey mustard and it was much better for that dish. I orderedthe Philly cheese steak and it was very good. My wife said her pulled pork was good but a bit dry. She asked for extra BBQ sauceand it was better. I also had a bloody Mary there and it was very good. If I find myself back in town, I'll come back. Read more
I used to like this spot a lot. Recently, however, this place isn't managed correctly or maintained properly (dirty) Few issues... from our last visit: - No host or waiter to seat us, eventually someone came to our table to take our order. They were superbusy so it wasn't clear if someone could help us out. - Waitress had a hard time determining whether they carried the alcoholwe asked for. Maybe she was drunk? - Food was nasty. I ordered a steak sandwich, which the steak tasted like ground up griddlegrease. Also, fries are no longer included with sandwiches, it was blacked out on the menu with a sharpie. - My first beer wasflat. I joked with friends that this place will end up on bar rescue. Bartenders and really nice (and patient being that I asked about a couple of my favorites that they didn't have but settled on... another of my old favorites). Food was really good. Our waitress was really nice. If I remember correctly her name name wasIzzy. Read more
The only good experience about this place was the cold beer ,shot and the patio.Italian beef egg rolls were average served over... dry warm lettuce, sauce was basically mayonnaise, I finished most of it ,I waited 10 minutes before the bartender even checkedon me ,he was to busy talking to the waitress at the end of the bar , only 1 other customer at the bar ,come on champs ! Champs is an amazing restaurant in downtown Lake Geneva with a fun and friendly atmosphere. The Beer Garden in back is spacious... and the bartenders and servers are attentive and kind. We went to Champs tonight for a fundraiser event for the Lakeland AnimalShelter where they had taco dinners and you could bring donations to help the shelter. The food and drinks from the bar outsidewere great and the gentlemen serving us the tacos were so helpful to us and our kids while they were serving us through the tacobar line. We love that Champs is locally owned by a wonderful owner and makes the effort to team up to foster community withother small businesses and with customers. We forsee many warm nights spent at Champs this summer! Read more
This is great bar at Lake Geneva. There are outdoor& indoor bar. shooting basket ball. slot machine. i love beer here it is very... testy. We camped out at Champs for 3 hours on a Saturday for a college football game. Our server, Savannah, was very attentive and... personable. She gave us outstanding appetizer suggestions (the taquitos and egg rolls are delicious, and the Bloodies andMicheladas were perfect!), and checked in on us often, even though she was running her butt off with all the tables she wasoverseeing.
