Went here for the first time ever last weekend for drinks and had a great time on the first visit, the bartender was super nice... and attentive, my cocktails were amazing- no complaints. We were around town the next night looking for a place to grab a coupledrinks and maybe some small bites. We saw the lights on and doors open at King Neptune's and thought, awesome, we liked it here,let's go in. I cross checked with Google to see the hours and it said closes at 10 (on a Friday, in a tourist town). But again,doors were open, lights on, people inside, open sign lit up, so we thought maybe the Google information wasn't current as thatdoes happen often. Took one step inside the door and were rudely told they were closed. But.. all of your lights and signs areon and your door is open. It's a shame because we really enjoyed our first experience there and wanted to go back. Not mad, justdisappointed because it's pretty misleading to have everything on and open just to be told rudely that the place is closed. Read more
Great place for food and drinks with some great views of beautiful Lake George. Service was friendly and quick. We were all... very happy with our meal choices. Only negative was that they were out of Steamers which I initially wanted. But still veryhappy. Very cool decor, check it out if you're around the area. Read more
This place has a pretty nice view of the lake. The staff are friendly and attentive. When we visited, they has e decent variety... of local beer on tap. The food was also good. We had a group with diverse dietary preferences, including picky kids. We all lefthappy. Read more
Went here with my wife and two kids during our visit to beautiful Lake George. All of the lakeside restaurants were busy at the... (dinner) time and the waits were all generally about a half hour...we decided to give King Neptune's a shot. Fortunately, thewait was not as long as we expected, and the hostess outside was super accommodating and put an honest effort into getting usseated as quickly as possible. We failed to mention that we wanted to sit inside, and after offering us some outdoorseating...we revealed that we would prefer to sit indoors, and minutes later she got us inside at a table with an excellent viewof the lake! We put our orders in, and everything came out in a timely manner, despite the packed house. The food was excellent,tasty burgers for the kids and my grilled chicken wrap was very fresh and delicious. Our waitress was outstanding. Overall, manyof these places are stretched/short staffed, due to the fact that many people don't want to go back to work...and I had a greatvantage point with our seating, of observing King Neptune's staff in action. I could tell you, the entire staff was not onlyvery friendly...but working extremely hard to keep a packed house happy. From the bar tender and all the wait staff, thehostess, etc..kudos to all of you! The prices were very reasonable as well. Excellent food and awesome service. What more couldyou ask for? I don't like to give bad reviews so this is based on my only visit. (so far) First off, I had a table outside which had a nice... view of the lake and great for people watching on the lakeside walkway. But the outdoor seating was lacking in the experience ofthe restaurant itself, so you never really feel like your part of the restaurant. Second, I had ordered the island fresca bowlwith pulled chicken, that came with no chicken. By the time I realized it, the waitress was already back inside and took foreverto get her attention. I did end up getting the pulled chicken separately to add to the bowl but I couldn't bring myself to enjoyit because my bowl was cold by then. No chicken aside, the fresca bowls are not that impressive, the bowls are kind of on thesmall side and the flavor just wasn't there. The waitress and hostess were friendly, and the price is decent. I will have togive it another try in the future. I would like to see more of the ambiance of the restaurant brought out to the outdoorseating area so you feel like your part of the restaurant. We enjoyed eating on the deck by the water! Great view! I had a delicious burger & fries & an even more delicious cranberry... vodka drink. Staff was super nice and helpful. Would recommend! Read more
For a Friday night the place was packed but we still managed to get a table for two very easily. We were able to sit and look at... the lake receive our drinks and food order in a timely manner with wonderful services from waitress. Prices are about normal forlake George highly recommend Read more
