A beautiful restaurant. Bar has amazing view of our favorite lake. However bartender too busy doing shots with friends. We... waited an appropriate 30 minutes because we understand staffing challenges? bartender was not staffed challenged ?.as it was usand a beautiful older couple at the bar. They deserve zero stars. Waited 15 minutes and no one came to take our order. The server went to both tables next to us but... never came to our table. We left without ordering. We spoke to the hostess on the way out and told her we were leaving becauseno one came to take our order and she said ok. Another hostess overheard and offered to seat us again but at that point it wastoo late since the first hostess didn't care. You knew what the rest of the dining experience would be like. It is very priceyto be this inattentive to there guest. We took our business elsewhere and had a nice meal at Christie's. The wait staff aChristie's was very attentive, the food was good and they had live music which was great. Thank you Christie's for making ourfirst visit to Lake George pleasant. Read more
The only reason they?re receiving a one star is because I can?t give a zero star. This was honestly one of the worst dining... experiences I?ve ever had. From the start, the place was basically empty at 7:30 on a Friday night, the staff was horrible. Oneof the hosts, I think?, was at the hostess stand CLEARLY intoxicated, and they were debating whether they should pretend they?reclosed and not take anymore tables after us. It took them literally ten minutes to clear a table for the six of us because theywere already pushed together and they didn?t want to move anything else, which would?ve been fine if they didn?t chat in betweenevery two glasses they picked up. Finally we sat and ordered. We were starving so we got three apps with our entrees, only onewas brought out as an app. We waiting 40 minutes for our food and we were the ONLY table left at 8:30! The whole time the staffwas just cleaning up around us. We were never checked on. When our food finally came, it was ICE COLD. Every bit of it! Fish andchips, burgers, calamari. Everything. Was. Cold. How?! We we?re seated outside and we watched as they carried our food on traysinside and put them down and continued to clean, waiting for the other food. Just sitting there in the dining room. Luckily wewere starving so we ate what we could and decided to just get out of there. We sat there for another twenty minutes, and whennobody checked on us, (I honestly thought they just packed up and went home), I had to get up and find someone to get the check.We paid and left. I will NEVER go back there again, and now that I?m seeing similar reviews on here about this place I?m hopingpeople head the warnings and avoid. 0/10 recommend. Read more
I try to give restaurants a break when service is slow due to staffing shortages. However, our visit to Shoreline is an... exception. The section where we were seated wasn?t even half full. It still took our waitress a good 10 minutes to greet us. Weplaced our orders and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. She put a plate with flatware and 2 drink napkins on thetable for us. We were a family of 5 and never saw an actual dinner napkin. My husband managed to forage and brought us 2 moredrink napkins. All of the condiments were served in plastic to-go cups. For what they charged for our meal, I would haveexpected a free refill on my water- but none of us were offered any refills whatsoever. The only good thing about the experiencewas the free parking. The food was passable but not a ?tell my friends? level of good. The waitress was pleasant but completelyaloof until it was time to pay our bill. Honestly go here only if every other restaurant has a 2+ hour wait. Otherwise keep youroptions open because Lake George has several better and less expensive places that actually give you dinner napkins. Read more
The food was really good and the view can't be beat of lake george. We chose to have my bfs bday dinner here and the surf and... turf was awesome also the drinks were good. The service needs some help, but apparently the whole US is understaffed Read more
Find somewhere else to eat! Bad service and mediocre food. Our experience here was very disappointing. We sat ourselves, and... were never asked what we wanted to drink until 20 minutes after we sat and gave the waitress our order. Appetizer was broughtout with our entrees, I ordered a fish entree that I did not realize was actually breaded and since I?m gluten free I mentionedit to our waitress who brought over what I assume to be a manager. The person that spoke to me was very rude and basicallypulled an ?I told you so? moment because after I expressed my food sensitivity she proceeded to ask if I had celiac or just asensitivity and showed me that it in fact said ?herb crusted? on the menu. Did not offer me anything to rectify the mistake andso I had to scrape off the breading from the fish and hope I didn?t get sick. My entree was also not served hot. Our clamappetizer was full of sand, and all this at a steep price to pay for what you get. We were never asked again for a refill on oursodas or water until we asked for the check. On top of this I had to use the rest room during our meal and the whole wait staffwas hanging out at a table eating and conversing instead of being attentive to their patrons. Overall I would not recommend thisplace one bit, and we will never be going back to this establishment. I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to dine ifyou are visiting lake George. Location is nice and we had seating on the deck that made evening wonderful. Lunch menu was served for dinner and not many... choices. Coconut shrimp was very good. Service was late but I noticed there was only one server on the deck area. Maybe they arestruggling with resources. Read more
Fantastic atmosphere on the lake. Enjoy the view of boats as you dine on delicious upstate NY American cuisine.
