Every time we come to lake George we come down to docksiders for our dinner and every time they knock it out of the park. On vaca in Lake George, NY, Docksider was recommended by local resident. I had called the restaurant and asked if there was a... wait, we we're told no wait. They don't do reservations its first come first serve. We arrived 15min later, parking lot is bigbut be aware it fills up quickly and there was quite a line waiting to get in...But we waited about 15-20 min. and we wereseated right away. This place is busy so be prepared to kinda know what you want, they make it easy as they had specials boardsalong the path while you wait. So we ordered the prime rib special, I got clam chowder she got the tomato basil soup to start,drinks and soups came out right away, our server Kamryn was fantastic and all the staff there were hustling without making youfeel rushed. The chowder and tomato basil soup were delicious. We enjoyed the lakeside view while we ate dinner. Timing was justabout perfect as our dinners came right out. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, baked potato cooked perfectly, corn on thecob, and a dinner roll. Good size portions, you won't leave hungry. So if we weren't already stuffed we ordered desert, we gotthe Italian lemon cake, and shared it...wow! Good stuff! Yes its on the upper price scale, but we'll worth it! Full disclosure, we have not yet eaten there but we plan to soon. The menu items look scrumptious. We stopped by today for a... beer and glass of wine in the early afternoon. The bar entrance interior was beautiful and had a nice vibe. The entrance to therestaurant portion is along a pathway on the right side of the building. We asked if we could take our drinks to and outsidelakeside table ans the bartender said sure! So off we went. The outside grounds are beautiful. The lake is awesome in itself,but we met Chris the owner outside working with the plants. FANTASTIC looking landscape design and maintenance! We spend lots oftime talking to Chris and she assurred us everything on the menu is delicious. We'll be back real soon! Read more
The Docksider is an amazing restaurant! The food is great, the location is fantastic. Being on a lake then utilizing it to it's... fullest ability by BEING ABLE TO PARK YOUR BOAT THERE! The food was delicious but the waitress was super slow (Lesley). We saw her 3 times (take our order, drop off drinks, then to... drop off the food) then when we saw her the 4th time she brought over the checks. She never checked on us to see if we wantedextras or anything, so we just finished eating and waited for her to come back. Which felt like an eternity, we were making betsabout how long it would take her. Eventually after about 30 mins we got her to bring the checks over. So 4 stars for the food -1for the service. Gorgeous location, phenomenal staff & mouthwatering delicious food. The Docksider is located a little bit off the beaten path,... but it?s worth it just to find this place. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the owner was sweet and kind and the food wasbeyond delicious!! I had to take 1 million photos just because of how gorgeous the location alone was. Christine the owner alsomaintains a beautiful garden all along the property. It takes your breath away. If I?m ever in this area again I will definitelybe paying the Dockesider a visit.
