Cheese fondue was yum with crudités topped up. Chocolate fondue was also nice, although a bit too sweet. Gorgeous view but no... air conditioning - room was unbearably hot. Had to have blinds down which was a shame but it was still too hot and we couldn'twait to leave to cool down! Read more

We had a fantastic dinner at Walliser Stube. It was perfect from start to finish and we highly recommend it. Ask to be seated in... 'the Library' where you have a breathtaking view of Lake Louise and the mountains. We had the set course meal, and every partof it was delicious. There was just enough food without making us feel overstuffed. The homemade marshmallows served with thedessert chocolate fondue were *divine* and make sure you ask for a top up! Read more

Came on a Thursday evening around 6pm in April (non peak szn) and they do not take reservations unless you are staying at the... Fairmont. There were plenty of tables and we got seated by one of the large windows facing the mountain (we were lucky and alsoit was quiet in general). I could imagine this place gets quite a bit busier during peak szn. Definitely get the Prix fix menuif you're coming with 2 people and want to eat their cheese fondue. I saw a table order the meat fondue and it looked ok, butdefinitely not as good as the cheese fondue that came with the fixed menu. And the cheese fondue "main" didn't seem like aworthwhile endeavour. For 2 with the fixed menu, you share one pot of fondue and it is more than enough! The fondue cheese baseis the same regardless of which option you choose, and the only diff is the garnish... So if you choose the truffle one, you'repaying a few more bucks for some truffle shavings. The server was really nice and gave us a few extra pretzel rolls as sherecommended we dip it in the cheese. She was spot on. Dipping the chunky pretzel rolls in the cheese was decadent heaven! Afterfinishing the fondue, wife and I were already quite full! The tenderloin steak that was served afterwards was perfectly cookedto our liking and very well flavoured. The nice part was they also give a large bowl of vegetables to share. A very nice touchto keep things a little healthier! Lastly, we got the chocolate fondue for dessert (1 to share between 2 pple). We got the darkchocolate as we figured what you dip will already be sweet. We were spot on. They gave a few small cakes, some strawberries, andmy wife's fav, a few pieces of homemade marshmallows. Overall, everything was lots of fun, delicious, and enjoyable! I thinkthe fixed menu was about $95 per person, but I felt it was worth it given how much food you get and what a nice experience itis. Cheers. Read more

Huge disappoint for the food, especially the mains. The fondue is ok, but the bread are dry, even can?t use the fondue fork to... eat. The vegs are just a few canned pickle food, some boiled potato, no idea what the price for. The main dish are joke, 65dollar tenderloin, come with a béarnaise sauce looks like jelly, a sauce you can pick up with fork. I do wish the bread for thefondue are like the sauce texture. Oh! Can?t forget to mention the over-seasoning, is the salt gonna expire tomorrow or what?.?The 50 dollar schnitzel has no flavor at all, maybe teach the tenderloin to share some salt with schnitzel? The bread coatingare thicker then the meat itself. I should listen to others and go get some chicken nuggets instead. Hope you see my review andstop come here for food. Or I?ll be happy to send you a ?told you!? voice message. The service are not bad. Anyway, don?t visit,at least not for food. Please and thank you! Read more

I agree with the other reviews, make your 5:30 reservation if you want the view. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The... cheese fondue was average. The chateaubriand was acceptable. Pictured is the actual shared portion for one person. Weirdly, awaiter commented on how he was surprised we ate all the mashed potatoes. The chocolate fondue was the best, especially thehomemade marshmallows. I don?t regret going here but it didn?t wow me. Portions were small, but that allowed us to eat all ofthe three courses. We really had a great experience here despite the restaurant trying to bump us off of their reservation list without telling us... - our waiter, Asher, really blew our minds - so professional and friendly, so attentive. The restaurant should be proud toemploy him. Two of our party had the three course special, and the rest of the party had the salmon appetizer (meh), the elkcarpaccio (excellent), and the chicken (excellent - so flavorful). Best fondue I've ever had, such a nice balance of the rightflavors. Read more

This was one of our favourite meals on the trip. Service was amazing. Asher our waiter was excellent. Pretzel bread with whipped... butter (save some to dip in the fondue). We got the half fondue and it was plenty for two people to share. The schnitzel wassuper crispy and huge. Halibut was cooked with a nice crust but a little small on the sides. The chocolate fondue for dessertwas amazing and the home made marshmallows was my favourite part. It was expensive but worth the experience and the view of thelake. Read more

We were really lucky to get a table in front of the large window with a lakeview. Concierge helped make our dinner reservation... when we checked-in. Our waiter provided excellent service. I?m not a connoisseur of German/Swiss dishes but I would say it?s thefinest fondue and schnitzel that I?ve had in Canada. Overall, wonderful guest experience. I?m glad we tried Walliser Stube.
