Husband set me up a spa appt.. a week in advance, 2 day prior to leaving they called and canceled after he had already paid and... set the appt bc the lady forgot she had something to do on the Saturday we were due in...ok fine! They gave us a free suite forthe night. For a suite room was super small, bed was hard as a rock, very outdated scratches all over the walls and tables.Among the cobwebs all over our bed. We were kept up all night from a wedding playing music, after the music finally stoppedabout 2ish someone kept beeping the car horn outside our door for an hour. Worst night sleep ever! Went down for brunch the nextday... while the food was good the table behind us had a dog in a child's stroller that kept barking... very unclean for arestaurant. I will say the staff here were very pleasant that's the only postive thing about this place... We visit lake lureand Chimney rock quiet a bit as we don't live far..never stayed here and never will again..And will definitely pass this alongto our friends and family who also come. Read more

We were there for a wedding; we didn't stay at the Inn, so we can't comment on the rooms, though my 6'4" husband (not... overweight) did go up to one of the guest rooms and he said that he barely fit in the room and was glad we had booked anotherhotel. The pros: the front desk staff were kind and helpful, from what I could tell. The lobby is a nice, comfortable sittingarea, which is clean and relaxing. The garden, where the wedding ceremony was held, was absolutely gorgeous. It was perfect fora small, intimate ceremony. The cons: The concierge suite, which was provided for the bridal party, was... lacking. It'stiny, with inadequate seating and lighting. We were also told that the only bathroom we could use was one out in the lobby. Wefound out as we were walking to the ceremony that there was a bathroom attached to the room. I honestly don't understand all ofthe reviews raving about the food. The food provided at the reception was awful. Ok, so the spinach artichoke dip was reallygood, and the fruit was fresh and delicious. However, the provided dinner was really subpar. It was all very bland, and thevegetables were grossly overcooked. We definitely will not come back for the food. Read more

We held our wedding here in September 2022. First and foremost, the staff was absolutely WONDERFUL! They provided exceptional... service for ourselves and our guests! They truly went above and beyond for us and made sure that we had everything we needed fora successful wedding weekend. They should receive a 5 star rating. The low rating comes into play regarding the management, orlack thereof at the Inn. We originally met with Alyssa over a year out to book our wedding and she was wonderful and felt greatwith our choice. Six months prior to the wedding, we were not receiving responses from her and nothing had been formally plannedyet. Eventually we were informed that she had left and Patrick was taking over. That's when it all fell apart. Patrick wasunresponsive on multiple attempts via phone or email and when he did respond, he was very dismissive with us. We came to the Innfor our wedding food tasting at 3 months out and he forgot and nothing was prepared for us. Additionally, we still did not havepricing for what the total cost of the wedding would be. Patrick routinely kept saying that he would have that to us "in a dayor so". Weeks and weeks go by without hearing from Patrick on quotes and pricing. Two weeks before the wedding, we still did nothave pricing and we learned that Patrick and his assistant had both "quit/been let go" and no one knew anything about ourwedding. We had begun calling the Inn directly and no manager ever felt inclined to call us back to help. It wasn't until weemailed the corporate wedding email address that we were finally able to receive a response and finalized plans one week priorto the wedding. The day before the wedding we met with Amy, who assured us that everything would be ok and she did have all ofthe details in writing and ready to go. Holly at the front desk greeted all of our guests and assisted with handing out Welcomebags. Leah, our bartender in the Moose & Goose kept late hours every night ensuring our guest ha Read more

I was very disappointed. We came here for our second anniversary. Beautiful view and friendly staff, but no housekeeping... service, cobwebs on pictures, dirty coffee maker, and there were no restaurants open in the area. We had to drive to the nexttown to get something to eat the 3 nights we were there. And to think I wanted my dream wedding here. Sometimes things aren'talways what they seem. Read more

We are local wedding photographers who have gotten to shoot several different weddings at Lake Lure Inn and Spa. There are not... enough words to explain just what an incredible venue this is and how much we LOVE getting to visit. Patrick always takes greatcare of us and every Lake Lure bride that I have had has walked away extremely happy with their experience. We always lookforward to returning! Read more

Visited for a wedding; was beautifully stunning. The staff are so dedicated and kind; you feel at home with friends. The food... and service is beyond 5 stars. The veiws and atmosphere are perfect; you feel as if you're stepping into a beautifulrepresentation of the past life of the hotel. So much history that they've preserved beautifully. Absolutely worth the stay. Read more
