Very disappointed the food is not as good when they first opened the place up. It has really gone commercialized the food does... not have much taste besides everything tasting spice hot when it should not on some of dishes. It was supposed to happy hour allday Saturday which we were charged full price. The refried beans we found a hair in it. Told them about and they only gave us10.00 dollars off. Most places would have not charged you for the meal that the hair was found in. The prices have gotten higherand they are nickel and diming the customers for everything and they also charge you for using your credit card. High prices forvery poor service. We asked for glass of water several times, never received any water. They brought our food out and we had toask them for silverware and when we asked for the silverware they looked at on why do we need silverware. On Friday nights theyuse to have the El Mariachi band. Went there as a back up dinner cause someone got sick and I'm kinda glad. The food was great, the atmosphere was warm and... homily. The only problem was the tables were packed together a little tightly. Read more
We placed our order and 15-20 minutes later our server came over and told us the kitchen staff is fighting and they are refusing... to make our meal. He said there wasn't anything he could do. He said it might have been because it was 7:50pm at that pointand they don't get paid past 8pm. I asked if this happens often (as we are new to town) and he shrugged his shoulders. El Mariachi's is an awesome lunch stop. The servers are great, the food is excellent, and the lunch meals are the very... definition of "bang for your buck." The lunches are a great experience; I haven't been by for dinner hours or Fridays yet. Read more
The dinner was very good, but when we received our bill we had two extra charges. And 18% tip was add and a $2.87 charge was... also added. Our $49 bill was now $61. When I went to check out, then they added a 3% charge for using debit card, our final billwas $63.45!!! I Said something when checking out about the extra charges and was thrown $2.00 dollars from the cash register!! As good as there food was, we will not be back!!! I choose my tip and as a customer I feel this was very sneaky and deceivingand the cashier was rude about throwing $2.00 back at me! ? Nice Mexican food at a reasonable price. The chips and salsa were good... any of the petty complaints I might make are probably... due to the quarantine and social distancing requirements right now, so not worth noting. Read more
Tonight while dining with my husband and son, we were charged an 18% gratuity fee as our bill was over $50. Mind you, our server... never came back to ask if we needed drink refills, if everything was ok, or if we were interested in dessert. Also, our dirtydishes sat in front of us a long time after finishing our dinner. I should be able to decide whether or not my server deserves18% tip. In this case, definitely not deserving!! Read more
